Am I too small for Buhurt?

Howdy y’all,

So pretty self explanatory, I’m a 5’6” 125lb 24yo guy in the Fort Worth Texas area and Ive been looking at buhurt for a bit now after my brother in Oklahoma got me hooked on it. I watched him fight and thought it was the coolest thing ever, but I’ve never done anything like this before. I played soccer all through high school and worked out since stopping that so Im still in decent shape. I also know buhurt doesn’t have weight classes so I’m kinda curious if I’m actually gonna be able to do anything in this sport or if I’m just wasting my time and the time of others by trying to join. I know it’s fun, and I am willing to put in the work and the time. I just don’t wanna be useless to a team. If y’all have any words of advice or any personal experiences please let me know. Thanks.

Question on how this exponent concept works

Howdy y’all I’m doing a practice test for my college algebra course and I’m kinda confused about how this works out. So the question they give me is to solve the equation. My equation is the one I wrote out above. So I assumed that since x^1/2 power is the same as the square root of x I could take the whole equation and put it to the exponent of 4 and get x^2 +1296x+4096=0 Then from there I figured plug and play for the quadratic equation and boom done. My answer I got was way off so I know I’m just not understanding something. Asking the internet it says best way to do it is to have a different variable be x^1/4 and then use the new variable in the quadratic equation. So my stupid question here is what’s the difference between substituting a new variable and vs trying to just get rid of the fractional exponents now and then plug and play?

P.S. Just for the sake of it the answers they said were correct were {16,256}

Howdy y’all I recently got this kitchen aid cleaned and greased but I’ve been having an issue with the speed control. Every time I turn it on low it doesn’t spin I know the connection is good I can even see the metal connection falling onto the contact but it’s almost as if the governor isn’t making good enough contact to spin. It works at higher speeds so I assume it’s an issue with the top screws not being adjusted correctly but not matter how much I adjust them both out and in doesn’t yield any results. Any suggestions?
