Can we make a mega thread for themed nights?

Hi all- I noticed almost everyday there is a thread for themed nights on the cruises.

I think we should collectively work to make a mega thread on this as I feel like this is asked almost daily. It would help efficiency in giving people a point source for that document, and maybe we can pin it for ease of access.

Utopia’s marketing in 2024 vs now

Hi everyone, I wanted to get other people’s perspectives as I don’t really think I’ve seen this talked about before(or at least this year). A proud diamond member and I’m Loyal to royal but just curious from a discussion standpoint.

I remember when utopia of the seas was first marketed, it was coined as the world’s biggest weekend(and still is but I feel like the direction had changed). In 2024 when onboarding the ship, there was a schedule of the different parties that were included in each sailing. In addition, there was also the Togas party and I remember on the first couple of sailings I did there were people going to dinner with their Togas on and walking around the ship with it. I have probably been on this particular ship nearly 10 times(3 nights), and I noticed that it’s been less and less prevalent with each sailing, and less advertised(royal kappa chai, the toga party, and the deck parties).

I personally think it’s because at the end of the day royal Caribbean is still very much geared towards families and though they’re the groups of partiers, a lot of the younger ones are priced out of Utopia specifically, and then it leads the party vibe to not be as prevalent since I noticed the demographic is primarily groups of 35+ year olds, and families. (I say this as someone in my late 20s - I don’t see many people around my age).

In addition I noticed the cruise directors on this ship used to be the more lively ones but now I think it’s just the regular rotation of them.

I think the shit more so became something that locals do since it’s a three night cruise and you get the mega ship experience.

Has anyone else also noticed this if you’ve gone on this ship recently? Again I love the ship, just curious on other’s perspectives.

Just for additional context I actually am not a huge partier at all it’s more so just an observation. It’s fine by me regardless.

What do you think is the most underrated feature on a Royal Carribean Ship?

Hi all,

I thought about this post while someone was asking an unrelated question regarding the cinema on Jewel of the seas.

I really think that the theater that they have on the older ships is one of the coolest features that aren’t on the newer ships. It legitimately feels like a theater as the seating and the screen is pretty large and looks like a theater that you would see in a smaller AMC theater.

Let me know if anyone has any other thoughts on this.

As an adult should I really do a Disney cruise or just stick to other lines?

Hi everyone, I just wanted to get perspective on this as I’ve been potentially looking at a Disney cruise for a while now. I could take later in the year. For context, I’m in my mid 20s and I would plan to go on this cruise with my sister. Neither of us have a family and it would just be us going on the ship.

For context, I understand it’s marketed towards families and I have no issue with that. Also, constantly see Youtubers, Tiktokers, etc whether solo or in groups/couples adults going on the ship without having families or children, however I’m really curious on the take of others. I feel like as a couple, being around the ship alone it would just look like your kids are in the oceaners club as an example, and it would blend in that you’re on the ship. However I feel like as two sisters, I’m wondering if we would stick out too much where we wouldn’t enjoy it. As an example, we’ve done royal carribean, Norwegian, etc, where there’s a more blended audience.

I really want to do one- the broadway style shows, the food, palo, adult only bars, and the rainforest room as the main appeals. But I’m just wondering if we just aren’t the demographic for it. The only reason why is just the cost of it (being usually 2k minimum), I just want to feel like the money will be well spent.

I feel like it’s not the same as Disney World/land as at Disney I see all different demographics there constantly. However those who have been on one let me know your thoughts!

Hi all- I was planning on going to the parks this weekend and scheduled a staycation. Last minute I realized that it was a cheer weekend.

As this is not the “worlds”, championship, I assume itll be less noticeable?

For content I am staying at yacht and beach club.
