Running Music of the Spheres

Agents Delano, Darling, and Daniel turn back now. This is not for your eyes.

Good afternoon, Agents! I'm working through a campaign with my players and I'm gearing up to run the classic Music of the Spheres (from The Stars are Right!) after this next set of home scenes.

I was wondering if anyone here has run it before as a Delta Green Op, and if so what their thoughts/experience/advice might be. As written the operation is pretty sandboxy without much in the way of direct clues, and without much in the way of solutions (even going so far as to say success is unlikely). I obviously don't mind an impossibly high bar for a happy ending in a Delta Green game, but there aren't a whole lot of clues as for what the Agents should even be doing. Short of convincing the researchers to end their work (highly unlikely without exposing unnatural) or straight up murder and sabotage the operation just ends with >!the Mi-Go bombing the array, or Groth's storms destroying it anyway!<. I just want to avoid a haunted house effect where the players wander around with scares popping out.

I'm also curious if anyone has created any new handouts for the operation?

Looking for Last Minute Operation

Agents Daniel, Delano, and Darling turn back, this is not for your eyes

tl:dr I am looking for a scenario to involve any/all of: MJ-12, The Greys, or Stephen Alzis which can be fitted for the 90s. These can be shotgun or unofficial scenarios, and are not limited to published operations!

Good afternoon, all! I'm in the midst of running a long-term Delta Green campaign (~12 Operations over 10 in-game years). Things are going great so far, with the seeds of greater arcs being planted, and some very near misses to life, limb, and sanity. So far we've run Puppet Shows and Shadow Plays and the Shotgun Scenario The Changeling.

However after looking over the plan for the next operation (originally Owlshead Mountain) I actually definitely want to have more of a time gap in those years for the loss of Irving to make more sense (and set an NPC on a path of paranoia and vengeance in the background of the campaign).

To that end I'm looking for another scenario to run in Owlshead's stead. The Operations I cannot run, because I have run them for these players already, I'm already planning on running them later in the campaign (and they cannot be moved), or they listened to an AP of them are:

  • Presence
  • Music from a Darkened Room
  • PSaSP
  • The Changeling
  • Convergence
  • The New Age
  • Victim of the Art
  • The Last Equation (this one I might be able to run)
  • Lover in the Ice

I am looking for a scenario to involve any/all of: MJ-12, The Greys, or Stephen Alzis. These can be shotgun or unofficial scenarios, and are not limited to published operations! Some Considerations are:

  • Ladybug, Ladybug Fly Away Home
  • Jessica's Body
  • Vampires Aren't Real
  • Night Shift
  • The Lost Cell

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thank you all in advance!

List of Canon Delta Green Agents

I'll keep this one short and sweet: has anyone put together yet a comprehensive list of canon named Delta Green Agents yet? If so I'd love to see it, and if not I'd love to get one put down. Off the top of my head I can think of:

  • Agent Alphonse
  • Agent Irving
  • Agent Nancy
  • Agent Donald
  • Agent Charlie

Any others we can add to the list? Next step is to go through all official DG materials and just Ctrl+F "Agent" to see what I find, but any help would be appreciated!

Help Brainstorming/Assembling a Handout

If you are Agents Darling, Daniel, or Dusk look away. This is Spoiler Content.

tl:dr I'm looking for help connecting the Blue Blood / ARD15 to the death of an Agent's partner years before the campaign starts (this was the inciting incident that brought her into DG), and advice on creating a handout with more information on it.

Further Context: Good morning, all! I'm in the midst of running a campaign of strung-together operations for three Agents. The campaign started in 1995. One of my Agents (Agent Darling) has the background that her romantic partner died of an Unnatural Illness (originally believed to be AIDS, and that's the cover-up) which brought her into the fold of Delta Green.

The brief backstory there is her partner worked in a hospital during the outbreak, and was believed to have contracted the virus there. Once she was brought to at-home hospice it became evident that something else was happening to her partner, she was becoming something else (something wrong). Agent Darling, not knowing what to do, constructed a cage to contain her former partner. Delta Green was eventually alerted to this and it came down to the Agent having to put down the thing-that-was-not-her-partner. This eventually led to her being scouted and recruited by Delta Green.

Flash Forward: During the Home Scenes following their first missions she called up her Handler (Forrest James as Agent Dunn) and requested any existing files/information on her partner's "condition" and what happened to her. Her Handler was skeptical, but humored her request so long as it was "purely for research purposes" (and because I wanted to see where this goes).

In their current operation Agent Dunn gave her secret instructions (to spy on another DG Handler), and in exchange she would "get what she asked for". I want to craft a handout for my player that does the following:

  • Is heavily redacted
  • Has links to ARD15 / Blue Blood / Ulee
  • Plants seeds for things like March Tech or Majestic (potentially dropping names)

Viscid is going to be one of the final operations for the campaign, so being able to tie in ARD15 to a character's backstory would be really juicy for both myself and my players to sink their teeth into.

Any assistance either with how to tie these narratives together, or suggestions/templates for creating redacted files would be a huge help here, thank you all in advance!

Need Help Repairing Vintage Colibri Butane Lighter

Good afternoon, all! I posted about this lighter previously on how to properly replace the flint, which I managed to finally do (the spring had gotten stuck and needed some work). It's sparking now!

However I'm running into a new problem here, and I'm looking for some advice to solve. When I fill the lighter with butane (done through the bottom, where the large screw can be seen in the picture), the lighter not only doesn't light, but I can hear the butane leaking out the bottom, most notably through where the small screw is (to adjust flame height). There doesn't seem to be any butane escaping through the pictured hole at the top.

Is this repairable by me (I have the tools and patience, just not yet the knowledge), or should I take it in to get looked at by someone more professional? Is there a loose valve in here somewhere, or is the butane release at the top of the lighter clogged?

This belonged to my recently deceased father, and it would mean a lot to me to have it up and running again.

Looking for help replacing flint in a vintage lighter.

Hey all. My father recently passed away, and among his possessions were some old vintage lighters. I've made a habit of refurbishing old lighters in the past, so I thought I would take a crack at it.

This *looks* like an old Dunhill butane lighter, but it might also be Colibri? Either way, it's a side flint wheel, but I can't seem to get it to spark.

I can see where the flint is meant to go, but when I load it in, I still can't seem to get a spark, and the whole flint loading process seems *off*? I also can't fully remove the flint wheel due to how it's constructed, so I can't get a closer look at the inside.

Any advice, or links I can check out. It would mean a lot to my mom if I could get these up and running again.

EDIT: I got it!! Looks like the spring had gotten jammed in the lighter bidy and just needed a little love to get it free. She's sparking and once I fill it with butane we should be good to go!
