I finished a cdrama that Viki listed as “friends-to-lovers,” but I didn’t really get that vibe. So I’m curious if there are historical/fantasy cdramas that actually have that..?

I loved the concept of the plot and the doomed fated romance, but everything was BOTCHED 😭

The plot was all over the damn place. I wish things were explained better, including WHY Yecha was cursed to begin with. Did I miss the reason? All I remember hearing was it was an ancient god, but that’s it. And the 180 they pulled during the last like 3 episodes was SO bizarre. I skimmed those last few episodes because I couldn’t deal with it lol.

The romance was also lacking for me. Xiu Yuan was always risking himself for Li Fei, but I didn’t get the same level of dedication from her.

Was anyone else let down with this cdrama? 💔

I just finished watching LOVE LIKE THE GALAXY & I think this is the most hungover I’ve ever been on any cdrama I’ve watched thus far. It wasn’t without flaws, but I adored the relationship between Shaoshang & Ling Buyi. I loved how they were each emotionally tortured in their own way, how they understood each other & were able to fill their loveless void together.

I’m looking for another historical cdrama (could be fantasy) to help me move on lol. Something with another DEEPLY tortured & misunderstood ML who is despised/feared by everyone except the FL.

Ones I also already watched & loved:
- Pursuit of Jade
- Love Between Fairy & Devil
- Love in the Clouds
- Fated Hearts

I’m about to finish Fated Hearts and would like to find another historical cdrama where the ML fights like Feng Suige…. Good swordsmanship mixed in with lots of punching lol.

I finally can expand outside of Netflix. I watched & enjoyed LOVE IN THE CLOUDS + LOVE BETWEEN FAIRY AND DEVIL. What other fantasy romance ones should I watch?

A hundred tears later & I finished Love Between Fairy & Devil. I loved it. But, can someone please explain why in the very end they had to wait 500 years? 🥺
