Looking for more Xianxias!

Hey guys! So i made a post on here a while ago, but i cant find it and i needed to update it anyway;

🩷 Looking for Fantasy Cdramas/Xianxias to watch! (With a small catch) 🪽

I dont really like watching things that are too old unless its REALLY good. I cant fully explain why is feel this way but anything that came out in 2021 and the years before I probably wont watch unless you think its is really good/life changing!!

What ive watched with ratings!:

Love between a fairy and a devil

- 10/10 - I know its critiqued for being cringe but it was my first Xianxia and even though i did think it was cringe it had impeccable charm! I loved the romance, chemistry and fantasy!

Moonlight Mystique

- 7/10 - I preferred the second leads romance over the main couple, infact the main couple was really boring, However in terms of all Xianxias ive watched so far I love the fantasy in this, the world building and magic system was amazing!!!!

Love in the clouds

- 8.9/10 - while not my favourite definitely the perfect xianxia on paper, i did kindve prefer the second male lead but all and all very good drama! Solid story and amazing action, the romance itself...not bad but just not for me

When Destiny Brings the Demon

- 9.2/10 - one of my personal favourite because of the chemistry! Also reminded me a lot of LBFAD which was a plus, my only problem is that they threw away a lot of character development for supporting characters which i hated but other than that i loved this drama

Pursuit of Jade

- unfinished - to be honest I understand why this drama is so highly rated but its just not for me, it did make me realise that i really like Xianxias due to the fanatsy though😅

Would love hearing your recommendations!

Asking for new drama suggestions

I finally watched How Dare You. Honestly, I started it pretty late because I'd read a lot of comments saying it wasn't that good, so I kept putting it off. But once I gave it a chance, I ended up binge-watching it. It really made me realize how differently people can feel about the same drama.

On the other hand, I couldn't get into The Fated Hearts or The Legend of the Female General, so I dropped both halfway through.

I've watched quite a lot of Chinese dramas, and now I'm looking for recommendations based on the ones I enjoyed. Some of my favorites are The Rebel Princess, Joy of Life, Guardians of Dafeng, "The First Jasmine and many more.

dramas w painful + angsty reunions

hello! I'm looking for a drama with a separation between the leads, and the reunion to be painful and filled with angst. bonus points if it lasts for more than a couple of ep's and is a proper arc (though I would prefer a hea). I'm open to any genre, as long as the reunion has complex emotions and longing.

suggest me some republican Era Cdramas

I watched 'love between lines' and really loved the vr game which was set in republican era and now I'm looking for a romance drama set in republican area.

shouldn't be one of those short dramas with 100 episodes and shouldn't be cringey

Republican drama with great visuals

Hello! I’ve seen a lot of CDrama but havent seen one set in the Republican era. I’m heavy on believability of period details not just in eastern but also western dramas. Please recommend some CDramas that have great period detail, beautiful cinematography, would prefer to see well-constructed qipao, good tailoring, etc. Of course good writing and acting as well. Would love to get my feet wet in this era. I’d like to respectfully request as well to add details to your recommendations; i would really appreciate reading why you think I would enjoy it, not just placing the title. Thank you very much!

Trying to find the first ever CDrama I saw and need help

I am trying to re-locate the first CDrama series me and my friends ever saw. We were on a group trip last year(2025) around August, and it was on the youtube recommended on the tv at the AirBnB we stayed in.

I'll try to list everything that I can remember about it(we were pretty drunk so I don't remember super well):

  • It was set in the modern era, and almost every single scene took place in what seemed to be a hotel ballroom(like the ones used for weddings and conventions)
  • The main male characters name was something along the lines of DuDu(or potentially abbreviated/translated as such)
  • It centered around him returning from somewhere to interrupt a wedding ceremony to his former fiance, with the goal of marrying her himself
  • There were multiple instances of 'one-upping' each other between DuDu and the guy that was going to marry the girl(e.g offering a bigger dowry, offering ancient artifacts/jade items, etc.)
  • There was one scene where they started comparing cultivation strength and measured it using a star-ranking system, and DuDu was something like a 13-star cultivation level while his competition was around 5-stars
  • I remember different clans/families had big entrances with lots of bodyguards in suits and sunglasses where they were coming to back up the rightful claim of DuDu or the other guy to marry the girl

I know the video we watched was a compilation of the episodes on youtube and I think it was around 1-2 hours length in total.

I'm sorry if this isn't enough info, but my friends and I have been really enjoying CDramas lately and nothing has come close to how much we enjoyed the first one we ever saw, and we haven't been able to find it ever since.

Please suggest some modern slow burn romantic comedies

I have watched and liked the following:
Everyone loves me
Love between the lines
Filter
Falling into your smile

I also like historical and xianxia/wuxia, but I’m in the mood for some modern dramas. I don’t like if the leads get together too early, I like the tension before they start dating.

I tried watching, but couldn’t really get into these because I felt like they were too slow:
Shine on me
The best thing
Love me love my voice

Thanks in advance!

please give me a xianxia masterpiece!

My all time fav is Love of the Divine Tree. His yearning through both of her lifetimes?! ❤️‍🔥 I can rewatch that one a million times.

Others I enjoyed: Love in the Clouds The Legend of Shen Li Moonlight Mystique

I still need to finish When Destiny Brings The Demon, and I’m watching The Eternal Fragrance which is airing rn.

Any others that are a MUST watch? I prefer happy endings. Thanks!

Looking for a K-drama or C-drama with INTENSE enemies-to-lovers vibes

ssso I’ve been trying to find a C-drama that scratches this very specific itch, and I’m hoping you can help me. i rly feel ashamed ive been asking you too much for suggestions lol, so im thinkin of

  • 30% real enemies/hate
  • 65% slow-burn enemies-to-lovers The kind where the hate melts into something deeper, but it’s slow and torturous in the best way. ifykykkkkk
  • 5–10% pure lovers’ bliss

I want it to be so good that it messes with my head and heart. The kind of drama that plays on repeat in my mind for months.
I recently watched K-pop Hunter and was obsessed with the vibe of the song **“Free”**it act felt like the perfect soundtrack for the end of a drama where everything finally falls into place, but the emotional weight stays with u

Drop your favorite dramas that fit this vibees pllz. Bonus points if the ending is devastating or hopeful in a way that ruins me for other dramasss

Weekly Recommend An Underrated (Overrated Also Acceptable *wink*) Gem — July 04, 2026

What’s a Chinese drama you genuinely think deserves more love? (Or ahem, the drama had so much love but you want to recommend it anyway. It's okay, we like both!)

This is the place to recommend the underrated dramas, forgotten favorites, niche gems, low-budget surprises, or shows you’re constantly trying to get other people to watch.

Maybe it:

  • had incredible chemistry
  • surprised you emotionally
  • had an amazing storyline nobody talks about
  • became your comfort drama
  • was completely overshadowed by bigger releases
  • made you wonder why more people aren’t obsessed with it

Tell us:

  • the drama title
  • what it’s about (without major spoilers!)
  • why you loved it
  • who you’d recommend it to

Recommend away!

Recently got in cdrama and I really like 少年歌行(great journey of teenagers). Any similar recommendation

btw, I would like to avoid Xianxia which is generally too supernatural for me, 少年歌行 is basically the tolerable limit for me. So dont be more xianxia'ish than 少年歌行.

Please Recommend me C Dramas like the Korean Webtoon + TV Show Love Revolution

Hey, so I really liked watching and reading Love Revolution, and was wondering whether there were any similar shows. For those who haven't seen it, it's a light hearted school rom com (even though the comic gets somewhat dark gradually) about a warm guy (Geong Joo Young) who is in love with a cold, aloof girl (Wang Ja Rim). Personally I don't like historical dramas and costume dramas, so it would be great if you guys recommended me dramas that fit within modern times. Even better if it's set in high school/college, but it's not a must. The only other drama I've watched with this dynamic is She and Her Perfect Husband, and I quite liked it. What I really need is the dynamic of a cold FL and a warm ML. Thank you.

Best jealousy moments in dramas?

Modern, historical, xianxia, it doesn’t matter. But I love when the ML is overcome with jealousy for whatever reason!

Ones I know of (and love):

-A Date With the Future. FL walks outside wearing a tank and shorts, ML orders his coworkers to turn around, then he covers her up with his jacket. I ate that up.

-Here We Meet Again. FL’s neighbor keeps hitting on her, so ML walks past him, drags her inside, and proceeds to make out with her while telling her to make him leave. 😆 I think the same or something similar happens in Only For Love too?

-You Are My Hero and You Are Desire have more puppy-like jealousy moments from the start where the leads just clench their fists and jaws whenever the FL talks to another guy lol.

Do y’all know of any memorable jealousy scenes? I’m craving it lmao. Thanks!!

Any Green Flag ML Drama Recommendations?

Looking for any shorts/reels dramas that the ML out the gate are green flags. I mean from beginning to end. This one for me was it:

Jinye Yaoguang/Who's my Real Fiancé?/The Ashes of the Wilderness/The Light of Ashes

ML:  Xiang Hao 向昊

FL: Li Qianle 李芊乐

Plot Synopsis

Lu Zhiyao, a surgeon at the city's central hospital, saves the life of Qi Jinye, the richest man in the country, only to discover that he is actually the uncle of her fiancé, Qi Yunzhi. She mistakenly identifies Qi Yunzhi as her childhood benefactor. Just before their engagement, Qi's mother, due to the family's decline, looks down on Lu Zhiyao's background and publicly humiliates the father and daughter at the engagement banquet. In her despair, Qi Jinye appears with his men, dispelling her gloom.

Out the gate will say it isn't a award-winning short but what I liked about it was how ML was so in love with FL in was so sweet. He was a HUGE green flag when it came to her and was overprotective. He'd clarify things to make sure there was no misunderstanding and hated to see her upset. Can someone recommend NOT the same STORYLINE but a drama where ML is SIMILAR as in doesn't disrespect FL or buys the shenanigans that the 2ML/2FL tries to stir up or family and friends try to pull. Always backs FL and never lets anyone bad mouth/trash her.

I’m currently debating on starting Youthful Glory or Hidden Love… if anyone has any thoughts on those… or any other recs please and thank you!

Edit: thank you all for the recs!! I’ll definitely check everything out!

Dramas with cohabitation

I'm looking for dramas where the leads cohabitate without being a thing and slowly fall in love together

The example I can think of rn is "Love Has Fireworks" or "Moonlight" I would love to know some cdramas with that plot I love it and if they don't have death or drama over the top would be even better I would accept anything tho 🙂

Looking for recommendations of the most toxic cdrama you’ve ever watched!

Currently in the middle of a bed rotting phase (anxiety and other things 🥲) and I’m looking for toxic cdramas.

Like the whole forced love/ forced marriage, toxic CEO trope.

Can be either a full length drama (like normal TV drama) or a vertical drama.

Thank you all 🤍
