Leaving E-Bike outside?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on buying a 1000€ ebike pedelec to use. My WG doesn't really have any indoor parking spot for it, so I'd have to lock it to the bike rack outside along the Neckar (there's a lot of bikes there). Would that be safe? The battery is removable.

Started watching S1 and this show is so good

I've been going through a really rough time and this show is just so comforting to watch. I just finished episode 8. The way this show addresses so many mature themes while incorporating action and making it entertaining is so well-done. Every character in the family is so likeable with realistic flaws and I find myself relating to every character throughout the episodes. Watching Clark & Lois disagree about how to raise the boys, Jonathan being upset about leaving his life in Metropolis, the boys learning to stick together, the sociopolitical commentary... I find myself connecting with so many topics I hadn't even thought about. This show helps me get away from reality for a while.

Does the show maintain this level throughout the seasons?

Razr (Plus) 2025 users, how is the durability by now?

Hi everyone!

I've had the moto razr plus 2023 for 1 year and I'm thinking of getting the razr plus or ultra 2025 version since it's on sale. The 2023 model's hinge/subpar durability is a big drawback -- after biking along the beach on a windy day (with my phone in my pants pocket), some sand got around the hinge and although I was able to get most of it out, it still creaks sometimes and I've been very careful with it ever since. I saw my friend's 2024 razr, and that hinge already feels a lot more stable, but after a year or so they switched because the internal screen was getting worn out.

So for those of you who have the 2025 model, how is the hinge holding up? I think I'm mostly worried about accidentally getting sand/dust inside the hinge because it's only IP48. Has that happened to you? Do you use a case? Ever had any other accidental damage? Do you have to be extra careful when you're on vacation and doing a lot of stuff, for example? I'm generally pretty careful with my phones (never cracked a screen) and I close the hinge pretty gently.

Wann WG suchen?/When to start looking for housing?

Hi everyone! I'm planning on starting my masters here in October and I'm super excited to live in a bike-friendly university town. I was wondering how long it would take to find a WG? I'm planning on arriving in the region near the last week of August and to start contacting people on wg-gesucht at that time. Would that be enough time? I do have an acquaintance 45min away that I can stay at for a while if necessary.

My only real desires are: being within Tübingen if possible as I intend to bike and having clean roommates (I've had some crazy ones in the past...). I don't mind a small room with bad lighting. I would prefer something around 500€ of course, but I could go up to 600 or even 700€ if it's worth it.

What do you think?

Just finished Season 7...

I've been watching this show (I only watched up to Season 5 while it aired) for the last few months, and during the last few episodes of Season 7, I kept watching other shows in-between because I wanted to delay the inevitable end...

So a few days ago, I finally finished it. It's a shame it was canceled like that. I think S7 was honestly really good, and it was a nice change of pace compared to all the Time Bureau stuff in the earlier seasons. And looking back, most of the characters had grown so much since they were first introduced.

- Gary started as the funny side character and later turned out to be an alien and became part of the main crew

- Gideon was just the timeline-watching AI at first and later became human and dated Gary lol

- even Zari 2.0 went from being an influencer to actually wanting to be a hero

- and of course Sara the OG becoming an alien and getting pregnant...

What was your favorite character development throughout the show?
