Thoughts of this? Just hypothetical. We need a 3B (RHB) who can hit and play routine defense. As well more depth in the SP/RP slot preferably a LHP. The angels are looking to trade Zach Neto and Reid Detmers. Could there be a more perfect pair?

The angels farm is terrible and Neto could move to 3B. He fits our power / speed combo and Detmers is that hybrid SP/RP we have been looking for. Both players are controllable too. What not to like here?

If the season end today we are a playoff team. Just let that sink in. Given we have some time let’s throw out some mock trades. IMO our biggest weakness is we simply can’t hit left handed pitching. Seems we don’t even try because we won’t go left on left hence our bench players are in the starting lineup.

Stowers has really helped our 1B weakness and we are getting solid power from him, Berto, hicks, Conine, and onkc. 3b is a huge problem and team is better with Sanoja on the bench.

One mock trade I’ve been thinking about is a Royce Lewis / Byron Buxton package. I know these 2 guys are probably the 2 most injury riddled players in the league. But they both have played their entire careers in cold ass Minnesota and a change of scenery could be huge. I also know Buxton has a no trade clause.

Even just Lewis would be nice although Buxton might approve his NTC if Lewis is included. Lewis fills our 3b hole and is a right handed bat. Apparently he’s a team player and a great clubhouse guy. Buxton has speed and could DH or play CF from time to time.

I don’t think it would take much to acquire Lewis. 2 prospects - maybe kemp alderman and a Josh white or Braxton G. Buxton would be a big haul. We have so many lefty OFs so Marsee or Conine could be included but not Stowers or ONKC. Or we go kemp, milbrant, and a couple AA guys. I think it’s possible MIN would do this and Buxton might agree. And if not just lewis would be fine. Or we go Parades although I really think he would cost a TON bc their GMs job is on the line.

Seems unlikely Sandy will be moved. But ya never know. Maybe Sherman keeps him around long term to mentor the young fellas. Despite his struggles he would be incredibly difficult to replace. Bulls like him don’t grow on trees.

My interpretation is that it’s about trying to find the courage & strength to battle through chronic anxiety, past traumas, exhaustion, medical struggles & pain, or just that vicious cycle on repeat that keeps coming back and kicking us in the metaphorical balls — the battle within.

There’s something really powerful about the shift from feeling stuck in a chronic fight-or-flight state in your own body to reframing things in a more positive way to push through it — even if it’s just temporary remission before the relapse hits and the suck returns. This probably cracks my top 11 Periphery songs of all time. Ironically, mostly because of the lyrics, whereas a lot of my other favorites are there for the grooves, guitar solos, and song outros.
