Backstory: I'm finally getting my DL at 30 and I'm shopping around for used cars to gauge what I can get. I am specifically looking for a classic Volkswagen Beetle because I've always been enamored by them and I'm learning as much as I can to take care of the little guy...

That said, I always see cars with over 100km significantly cheaper than cars in the low 10kms... why is that? Most answers I get is about maintenance, wear and tear, etc, which makes sense... but what parts of the car actually wear down? What kind of maintenance would I be looking for to know that these parts are ok after 100-200km? Does the Y/M/M make a difference when buying used with high mileage?

Context is that I purchased this as a mini PC from a dude who collects used/trashed PC parts as a hobby and sells built Frankesnsteined machines on Facebook Marketplace in 2021 (don't look at me like that, it was like 300 bucks). PC was never the best (by FAR) but honestly it trucked along like an uninsured 1968 VW Beetle with an original motor: by hopes, dreams, and maybe some black magic

My dad looked like I spewed liveleaks contents from my mouth when I told him what my PC build was, and I can't blame him. Worse builds have existed, but I haven't seen many. At this point this thing is clocking in at 2 bluescreens a day (with entirely different error codes!), 1 full freeze every 2 days, and at least 4 random restarts a week! When I play games, I yearn for save points, not progress

Current build:

• MB: LGA 1155 Intel B75 (she doesn't have the lithium battery anymore, I have no idea when it was removed or how)

• CPU: Intel Core i7-2600 @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Cores, 8 Logical Processors

• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (the mini, yes, no PSU input! She runs through the motherboard only! The fan doesn't even spin)

• RAM:

- Timetec DDR3L 8GB 800MHz

- Kingston DDR3 8GB 800MHz

• SSD: Timetec SD08 512GB

• PSU: CoolerMaster MWE Bronze 500 (the newest and likely most expensive part of this build, sadly)

Budget: Maybe $500, I'll be honest, but we do what we have to do

What I use it for: drawing, image editing (Photoshop), 3D rendering (not much at all, I'm still learning but will be doing that more probably), and gaming. I don't game at higher than 60 fps, I truly don't need bells and whistles. This thing has run Baldur's Gate 3 on specs so low you'd think the intimate scenes were censored!...

I want a better quality of life when I'm able to, yes, but right now I need to know: are any of these parts salvageable at all? And which parts would be the bare minimum parts to start the process of upgrading?

Conversely... is my best option to just buy all the parts (maybe minus PSU?) new and then just prepare a funeral for my old PC? Give it to me straight doc

I'll be honest, I used to like Rotten Mango and I still don't hate her. I like the fact that she does put a portion of proceeds towards charities and organizations relevant to each episode. Hell, I even like the whole "narrated" beginning, where she starts the episode with an almost third-person retelling of a poignant moment in the case. I started watching/listening to her content because as a Brazilian, her coverage of a few Brazilian cases was so nice to see... most English-speaking true crime creators only cover US/UK cases, maybe Canada and Australia if you're lucky... so it was nice to actually hear about other cases in Bangladesh, Brazil, Korea, Japan, India, Mexico, Colombia, etc... that's honestly the main reason I kept listening to her for so long, she covers worldwide cases, not "band world tour" worldwide cases, iykwim

But, my god... I can't stand the constant "I'm sure the male prisoners will looove him", or some version of that, every single time a case involves sexual abuse/harassment and/or child abuse. It's relentless. I don't care how disturbing someone's crime was, if you're making a living out of reporting on criminal cases, you're not gossiping. I didn't click "play" to see what you believe is the "best punishment" for someone's crimes, I want to learn about a case's information, persons of interest, development, and current status, anything beyond that is wholly unnecessary.

Feeling awful for the victims, wishing for justice, and not wishing someone gets sexually assaulted in prison are all feelings that can coexist. It's goddamn disturbing how it feels like nearly every single episode with these themes she slides in at least 2 of these comments (I think the one about the Duggar kid had 3? I don't know man I lost count).

It feels disrespectful for what the victims went through, it focuses on punishment rather than justice, prevention, and victim advocacy, and it's been said time and time again that survivors don't "feel better" at the thought of their abusers being assaulted, these types of comments can be actively triggering to survivors.

I feel like I keep trying to justify my discomfort, because I myself have watched/listened to so, so much true crime, a lot of it involving sexual violence, but I don't know.. I feel like it cannot possibly be crazy for me to want to learn about cases without being randomly hit with essentially a goddamn Prison Rape joke, especially in such a gossipy, coy tone, like she's a Mean Girl twirling her hair.

Anyways, I don't know if we've beaten this dead and Rotten horse too much, I'm aware she's infamously not a favourite in this sub, but part of me still thought that her work with orgs/charities and her wide-ranging coverage made her stand out in a positive way, but I guess that was just pulling the wool over my own eyes.

Olá pessoal! Estou com um perrengue meio estranho... eu tirei minha PPD em 2017 e me mudei de país logo depois. Bom, voltei para o Brasil e me deparei com as seguintes dificuldades pra tirar a definitiva:

• Durante as mudanças acabei perdendo minha PPD original
• Não consigo ter a PPD digital pois eu tirei ela há muito tempo atrás então pelo que entendi ela não tem uma versão digital
• Também não tenho uma cópia completa, somente a "Minha CNH" constando no detran.sp.gov.br, que não tem todos os dados mostrando
• Não consigo pedir a definitiva online pois fica dando erro (creio que por conta do tempo longo desde que venceu a PPD).

Se eu não tiver essa PPD original e nem uma cópia, eu ainda consigo tirar a CNH definitiva? Precisa de algum outro documento/comprovante?
