Compensation for 5 years experience in EY GDS India

Hi,

I am working for consulting firm and do not have a great pay. I do have a niche skill and I have heard that there is an opening in EY GDS India and they are actively looking for someone who has my skills. I want to understand what compensation EY usually gives when they are in need of someone with a niche skill set. I currently earn around 7 LPA, low for almost 4.5 years of experience but I had some family obligations and I couldn’t switch earlier. Can anybody tell me what is the upper limit for compensation for such roles? Not that I am going to get it but still.

Thank you.

First solo trip

Hi,

This is exactly the ask. I want to travel solo but I don’t know the logistics of it. It is not like I have not travelled alone, I have but some work commitments that I extended for a couple of days and visited places but I was staying in a hotel. I am 27 and my experiences are vastly different from other 27 year olds but there is one thing I have always wanted to do- see the world. I know I am kind of late but I really want to do it.

I want all the tips. I am an introvert so my biggest issue is how do I interact with people on trips and have a good time? How do I ask people to include me in their groups? I just want to make friends and travel and be comfortable in my own company which I’m 99% am.

Please share your first trip experience and anything and everything you did before that.

Thankyou

SAP Advanced Workflow

Hi,

I want to understand how many companies actually use Advanced Workflow (the one clubbed with SAP Commissions) and what should I move to because I do feel it is pretty stagnant after the initial setup is done.

Why was it created and why is not being used widely?

I’d love to know if other SAP products are better or similar to it and that is the reason?

Can I apply in a Competitor Organisation while working on a project with them?

I have been working on project with Accenture from the past 5 years. It is a niche skill, I have been facing issues with my WFO exception from the past 3 years (since I am a caretaker for my mother and lost my dad). The client has been very understanding and even my team but HR has been a pain even though I have given them all the documents and they are all valid.

I recently got approached by a competitor, because we are working on a project for the same client and they want to hire me to work on the same thing. I asked them for my WFH request and they said that is something they will be able to work out for me. Now, I truly respect my team members and the client but if I’m getting a good compensation and I can be present for my mom then why the heck not?

I just want to understand if there is any clause that prohibits me from applying for/joining the competitor?
And how does this portray me as a person? Will it look unethical on my part?
