Why can't I find openings for Flutter Developer?

Hey guys! A 4th year College student here. I'm enthusiastic in building apps in Flutter and that's my go to for building stuff with.
But I can't find much jobs for Flutter developers (which take in Freshers).

Is learning Flutter as my Primary Development Framework a wrong choice, cause most SDE jobs which comes to my Campus for Placements ask for React or some JS based Frameworks. I'm really confused, guys

P.S: Sry if this feels like a rant, but this is actually how I feel people... So if there's anyone out there, help me out

The $99 Apple Dev fee priced me out of Native iOS Apps. Thinking of using PWA Apps, but with hesitations (Thoughts and Advices)

Hey everyone,

I’m building a messaging app tailored for my college campus. We're aiming for a phased rollout (classrooms -> departments -> whole college), but I've hit a massive deployment roadblock regarding iOS.

My original plan was to build and distribute native mobile apps. Android was straightforward, but iOS immediately hit a brick wall. To distribute the iOS app—or even just to easily sideload .ipa files to my fellow students—I need to pay for the $99/year Apple Developer Account. Since I'm bootstrapping this with zero budget, that fee is a hard blocker right now.

To bypass the Apple paywall entirely and guarantee a frictionless, zero-install experience across all devices, I made the call to pivot to a Web-first PWA approach.

The PWA solves the distribution problem, but it created a new one: Push notifications on iOS. Because this is a chat app, real-time notifications are make-or-break. Trying to get native-feeling, reliable push notifications working through a PWA on iOS has been incredibly frustrating and wildly inconsistent.

  • Has anyone successfully implemented reliable push notifications for a chat-heavy PWA on iOS?
  • Are there any specific workarounds, services, or harsh realities I need to know about before I commit the rest of my time to this PWA route?

Any advice, workarounds, shared misery or other deployment paths would be massively appreciated!

Need advice on engineering / computer-related degree options for a student who scores well overall but struggles with Maths

Hey everyone!

A senior colleague of my father recently asked me for advice regarding college and course preferences for his relative.

The student recently completed +2 and seems to score well overall, but Mathematics appears to be his weak point (around 60 marks, from what I heard). From what I understand, he’s more of a “study and reproduce in exams” type rather than someone deeply interested in conceptual understanding.

Because of that, I’m unsure whether a traditional engineering path would suit him well. I’m also open to considering arts/science degree options related to computers or IT, not just B.E./B.Tech courses.

What would you suggest in this situation?

  • Are there engineering branches that are comparatively less math-heavy?
  • Would B.Sc. Computer Science / IT or similar courses be a better option?
  • Should the focus be more on aptitude and interest rather than marks alone?
  • What kind of colleges or learning environments usually work well for students like this?

Would really appreciate some genuine advice so I can guide them responsibly 😅

Qualifications: Student recently completed +2 / higher secondary exams and is planning to pursue college studies.

Anyone Else Here Struggling With Identity In Smaller Towns?

Hey everyone. I’m a 20-year-old guy from Theni district, Tamil Nadu, and I’ve been struggling with my identity for a long time. I’m closeted and identify as pansexual, and honestly, living a double life every day is exhausting.

I’ve had relationships and experiences before, and they helped me understand myself better. But even then, I still feel isolated sometimes — especially living in a smaller town where it’s hard to openly talk about these things.

I guess I’m posting here because I want to know:

Are there others around me who feel the same way?

A little about me:

  • 20M
  • Closeted
  • Pansexual
  • Looking for genuine connection
  • Open to friendship, texting, or meeting people safely
  • Hoping for a long-term relationship someday
  • Emotionally tired of dating apps and hiding who I am
  • Looking for affection, understanding, and people I can relate to

I’m still figuring myself out, and maybe that’s okay. I just don’t want to feel alone in it anymore.

Would really appreciate hearing from people with similar experiences, especially from Tamil Nadu or nearby areas.
