For those on daily preventatives, what worked for you?

I've gotten cold sores my whole life, but in the past couple years I developed an immunodeficiency and my cold sores went from twice a year to once every 3 weeks. My doctor prescribed me a daily dose of valcyclavir 500mg about a year ago which worked for about 4 months, but now they're back to every 3 weeks lasting about 5 days even with 1gm valcyclavir on top of the preventative.

For those who also get frequent cold sores, what preventative meds/dosages finally worked for you?

Which pixels don't experience the wifi dropping issue?

As of a few days ago, my 8 pro is essentially bricked. It was experiencing the wifi dropping/reconnecting issue once every hour before, but now it is every 30-60 seconds even after a factory reset. I live in a place with terrible cell service, so the phone is practically unusable.

I really love the Pixel UI/UX and hesitate to switch to another brand, but have seen a few posts of other pixel releases having the same issue. Do any of the newer ones NOT have this problem?

How does the workers comp waiting period work?

My friend was recently denied lost wages compensation after being injured on the job and not being cleared to work for 11 days. I know the waiting period is 7 days, but the employer's insurance company denied the claim saying because he didn't miss 7 scheduled shifts/days (they actually said 14 which is just totally wrong but I digress), it didn't meet the minimum days missed. I know the statute says "compensation is not allowed for the first 7 days of the disability," but is that calendar days, work days, or days the employee was already scheduled? TIA!

Anyone else notice a cyclical pattern of roofies in tally?

I'm wondering if this phenomenon has happened in anyone else's circle. Never got roofied before 2025, and since then been roofied 4 times while out. Every time, it seems to come in waves around town. At least 1 other person I know will get roofied around the same time. I.e. I got roofied on Friday, and found out 2 of my friends got roofied a few days before. Another time, my sister got roofied a week after I did.

My conspiracy is that the supplier does a Rohypnol, GHB, etc. drop every few months and it floods the town. I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this pattern as well.
