Is it over?

I was training for a half marathon. Was in the middle of a 12 week plan. Took a break from running for about 10 days because I wasn't feeling good, felt a general body exhaustion, maybe a virus infection.

Also had some pain in my lower back before this, though think it's because i was running a lot on concrete.

Well, today when i went for a very easy run (7:40/km), i can say that my lower back pain is no more but , after 1-2km felt this pain in my right hip flexor (groin pull). It's nothing new, i had it before but maybe i had other things hurting more and i didn't give it much thought then. Tried adjusting my form, stepping different, increased my cadence, ran slower... When i lift my knee it's there even after the run. Read online it takes weeks to recover from this.

What do?

How good are suggested daily workouts for improving fitness?

I have a forerunner 245, and recently started to pick up running again after 4 years of not doing any running or other physical activities.

I'm now in my 40's, and my vo2max is at floor level reading 31. It hasn't moved at all since i started running almost 2 months now. I feel way better, did a 10k run 2 weeks ago. Last week i ran 5 days in a row.

This week i started doing only suggested daily workouts and this is 2nd time it tells me to have a rest day, although i was recovered. I went from productive to mentaining and now my training status is recovery.

Have this suggested workouts worked for you?
