Hi there. I'm new to the privacy space and currently researching deGoogle options, and I have a question about the Standard plan.

It says "25 aliases at mailbox dot org" and also lists "50 aliases for custom domain names". Setting aside the latter, I'm slightly confused by the former.

I know "email aliases" are used by Proton and others as fake (kinda-sorta) email addresses that aren't for outgoing mail. They're just to use for when you sign up for a site and need to put in an email address (as an example).

So, does "25 aliases" mean 25 separate actual email accounts? Or a mix of actual accounts and aliases? Or am I reading this all wrong?

Hi there. I am looking to make the jump from Google to Proton for the normal reasons: Mostly privacy-related.

I have a question: I have created several free Proton mail accounts in the last couple years, and I'd like to keep them all under one account when I upgrade to Unlimited. They haven't gotten much usage, but I want to keep the separate accounts anyways.

My understanding is that I have to save/auto-forward all the data there, delete the accounts, then re-create them in Unlimited. Is that accurate? Or is there another way to do that?
