Hi, I'm looking at buying new air purifiers

I'm looking at the Levoit Core 400s - it has a lot of what I'm looking for (app control, quiet, no ioniser, affordable price)

My concern is the controversy around the HEPA certification - and my question is how much does this matter for its effectiveness in filtering covid? Is it still considered a suitable option?

If not, does anyone have a recommendation for another model that meets my criteria (app control, quiet, no ioniser, appropriate filtration & not too pricey)

I was just wondering if anyone who owns the Winix Smart Compact 5 Stage Air Purifier (T500) can tell me if the plasmawave can be turned on and off using the app?

I'm looking at buying this but don't really want to have the plasmawave on so was hoping it's easy to remotely turn off.

Edit: note I am mostly bedbound so being able to switch it off from the app is important

​ Since long before PFS started for me (about 5-6 years with 0 problem before the saw palmetto trigger) I've been on Mirtazapine. I'm aware that many with PFS have struggled with this and have suspected it may be contributing, not as the main factor but contributing to the state of things.

*But* I have severe/very severe ME and am generally very vulnerable with a low buffer to absorb an antidepressant taper or withdrawal, so it hasn't been a straightforward decision at all. Last time I tried going off an antidepressant it went pretty badly, and that was before my ME was severe.

​ I am now considering trying a very small dosage reduction just to see how that goes, and then deciding how to proceed from there. I am on quite a high dose (60mg)

​ Does anyone have any insight or similar experience?
