France estimated to have lost 1.5 billion in fight against bedbugs in past 5 years

How in the world is this not turning into a public health/financial crisis.

France alone is wasting so much money on this. Can't imagine how much China or the US have spent in the last years. ChatGPT says new treatments are not financially viable as research would put budgeting the ballpark of 1 billion euros.

How in the world are countries more comfortable wasting potentially tens of billions in the last 5 years when they could have all chipped in 1 billion together to put an end to this plague??

Inca o zi, inca o stire despre plosnite.

How long dod it take for your crossfire to work

I had a mild infestation.

Steamed my room and recliners, applied crossfire on the 8th of july, still had some bites leading up to july 16th. Then surprisingly went for about 12 days without any visible distinct bites. Got new ones on july 29th and new one today on my leg.

On aug 7th ill be 30 days since treatment.

Edit: did a second spray on july 25th

How, how have we come down as a civilization like this?

We went from driving them nearly extinct in the 50s.

Even during periods when ddt was already banned in the 80s in my country, people would have isolated cases in their homes and treated fast.

Today we have AI, we have computers, we spliced the bed bug genome, we have hand held steamers and heat pump drying machines. We have sniffing dogs.

How in the world have we slipped back to pre 1940s levels as a civilization??? How is this possible?

Found a live one

Sprayed crossfire on july 8th. Found some bites on my ankle on july 13th. Today i look over my recliner and see one in the fold here. That is a place i strategically sprayed crossfire in. Why is it still alive?

https://jurnalul.ro/stiri/observator/turism-top-plosnite-bucuresti-1036536.html

Botanigard

Im looking to buy botanigard to treat a situation. The supplier sent me a picture of the batch but it looks like it may have been produced in 2017?

Good test?

Ive had an early infestation some 3 months ago. Had exterminators over, the whole deal.

My back normally gets acne but since ive been scrutinizing it more and noticed some "zits" that appear patterned. If i check the inside of my white pijama, surely id see small bloodstains by now on it, if they were bites?

Help. Advice?

Found a bug in march and squished it.

Ive had aprehend applied in my bedroom and living room on march 20th. Ever since ive been holding my outside clothes in the kitchen where i regularly dry heat them (but dont keep them in bags). Only time i bring anything in the kitchen from the bedroom i is when i walk inside in my pajamas.

I think only dusted my kitchen superficially once, since and today i decided to dust it properly. Found this. God im shaking just seeing it. Could this have wondered in the kitchen due to aprehend and died here?

I dont see any white spores
