Hi this guy bit me, is it a bed bug?
Curious because that looks like blood on there? Not sure if it's just it's juice after squishing it

I got bit a bunch at a hotel last week, and I cleaned my clothes promptly but I want to make sure I didnt bring some home. this is on a lightswitch toggle i use for christmas lights near my bed.
Hello,
We are on vacation on a day trip and just found this dead bug on a water bottle when we took it out of the backpack. Is this a bedbug? Thankyou!
Found in between fitted sheet and mattress cover. Thought I had been bitten last night so was changing sheets. Please help!
I received a delivery earlier, then after a quick bathroom break I decided to check the top of my mattress encasement need the headboard where I found some black potential spots last time. I found more, this time I am 70% convinced they are loose paint from the headboard, but I still wanted to make sure.
Also I looked at the bloodspot document as well for reference, the only thing looking familiar is slide 2 and 6.
The last image is where I found some of the spots, but it is clean now since I wiped and smeared them with alcohol, also the last 4 pictures before that are the ones where I wiped them off with a paper towel and alcohol.
Found just before going to bed- never dealt with them before…
I found one of these insects, and I’m not sure if it’s bed bugs. I just came from Big Bear, where we stayed at an Airbnb, and ever since I’ve gotten home, I’ve been experiencing a lot of bites in groups of two.
Hey all, I posted here 2 weeks ago noticing what looked like a bed bug nymph on my office wall the day after moving in. We suspected a hitchiker bed bug, and took a lot of precautions,
Took all our clothes to the laundromat, dried on high, left them in vacuum sealed bags
Pushed our bed away from the wall and bought interceptor cups
Got 2 spray treatments from our apartments pest control that they hire.
We saved the first specimen, pest control ended up taking it. A week later we found a 2nd nymph bug on the same office wall, unfortunately I lost this specimen.
Then yesterday, we found another nymph on the edge of the windowsill in the office, the office we have refrained from being in until we confirmed if it was a bed bug or not.
Interestingly, the day we found the 2nd bug nymph was also the day we heard what sounding like flapping and squeaking in the shutter outside the office window.
We still have no evidence of an infestation of bed bugs, nothing in our cups, nothing in our bed we've stripped countless times.
Edit: we found each bug around 6pm each time, idk if that's important but it seems important.
So Bat bug vs bed bug?
Once we captured the 3rd specimen, I manage to acquire access to a microscope to take some pictures. I will admit with the help of AI im more and more convinced this is a bat bug nymph vs a bed bug nymph. The nymph is considerably hairier than I would suspect a bed bug to be. But I am no expert. I intend on taking it to the entomology lab at my university just to get an expert opinion. But what are the redditors opinion?? Im more convinced it is a bat bug given its long hairs on the head.
Thanks for reading and thanks for your thoughts.
Also if we find more, im anticipating taking them back to the scope to analyze them as well!
TL:DR
I believe this is a bat bug nymph, not a bed bug nymph. Confirm or deny?
Apologies in advance for the long read, but I’m looking for your expertise on a potential bedbug situation.
I encountered bedbugs at a hotel on the 2nd night of a trip. I didn't notice any bites at the time, but I found bloodstains on the sheets. Immediately after, we heat-treated all our clothes (dried on high, washed on hot, dried on high again), threw away our suitcases, and sealed everything in plastic garbage bags. Upon returning home, everything went through the dryer/washer/dryer cycle again, and non-washable items were placed in the freezer.
A few days after getting home, I woke up with marks that look like potential bug bites (small bumps in a line). They don't itch at all.
Timeline:
Medical Advice So Far: An urgent care doctor evaluated the marks early on and thought they looked like hives. He prescribed a hydrocortisone ointment, which I used for two days, and the spots faded shortly after. I also had a telehealth consultation with a dermatologist a few days later who agreed they resembled hives.
I'm still skeptical because they look so much like bite marks, and I was alarmed when new ones appeared for a couple of mornings in a row.
Found this when I woke up this morning. I have a few bites on my leg but I think they could have been from being outside in the sun. Pound coin for scale
i used the ai identifier and it said it wasn’t, i dont think its one but more worried it could be a part of one
What is this bug? Found in the seam of the mattress, I think it looked like a shell/egg case
i woke up with these friday morning. i also had a bite on my right ankle and right groin area, like 5 inches diagonally down from my bellybutton. no bites on arms or left side of body or anywhere else but mentioned. they were intensely itchy but faded somewhat quickly with treatment. i checked seams of mattress and didn't see anything but wasn't able to be super thorough because i live alone. i've slept in a homemade hazmat suit since (long sleeves and pants tucked into long socks lol) bc i feel itchy and gross at just the thought of bugs biting me in my sleep. thank you in advance!!!!
hello. just posting to ask for some advice on the placement of a passive monitor.
I’ve just returned from Morocco where I found faded fecal stains on the bedsheet but no confirmed fresh fecal stains (I used the reference images kindly provided on this Reddit). I checked the mattress and couldn’t find other signs; did see a bug on the last day that looked vaguely bedbuggy but my instinct as a keen amateur entomologist was that it was the wrong shape. As such I suspect light infestation but won’t be taking any chances. I encouraged my travel partner / flatmate to open bags outside but I think some of her bags she opened inside so want to make sure the passive monitor is working effectively for this reason.
as such, if you could advise if the first image is the appropriate location. The second image I’ve included just to give you an idea of the type of bed!
finally , I just wanted to say thank you for the resources and advice that are so generously shared here and on the bed bugs uk website. Invaluable!
Sorry for the photos, could it be distinguished? I already squished the bug before, I am afraid it might be a bed bug, location: Bucharest
