Goodbye, Picnic Table! (Dauphin Island, AL)
Stumbled across the remnants of a picnic table that has been devoured. I still see a tree at work amongst all of the palms (may start a big debate with this, but palms are technically related closer to grasses than trees)
Old Friends Retirement Farm Cemetery (KY)
I visited Old Friends today where Thoroughbred horses enjoy their “dignified” retirement, those who raced or those who never even made it to the starting gate.
I met Silver Charm, 97’ Kentucky Derby winner, 97’ Preakness Stakes winner, and Dubai World Cup Winner 98’. As we were leaving we visited the cemetery where other icons lay at rest, including Little Silver Charm.
Beloved mini horse and the mascot of Old Friends, said to have been ancient in age (they estimated he had made it to be between 38-40 years old!)
Crown Hill Cemetery (Indianapolis)- American Gangster John Dillinger
my eyes were blessed at the Indianapolis Zoo
first time seeing the beast
coolest little colony running and climbing in an open aviary!
