It’s great that everyone learns to drive and then immediately forgets all road rules. The one that irks me the most is the cutting across the junction to the wrong side when turning into a road.

And they do it fast, too. Like they think they’re so cool.

Is anyone old enough that they’d have a friend you’d switch gaming consoles with for a week or so? My friend would take my Sega Mega Drive and I’d take his Super Nintendo.

It was fun! I’m not sure it’s something people with do now with modern consoles.

I know it’s in Highway Code now to let pedestrians cross at junctions. But it’s so awkward. I will cross when I’m ready and feel it’s safe to do so, not because a driver is waving me across. I usually wave them through to drive on.

Thankfully I live close to London so public transport is everywhere otherwise I would have to drive.

The lime bikes, kids on push scooters zooming away from their parents and look like they’re gonna veer off onto the road, drivers that have zero situational awareness. I can’t imagine how bad it is now. And it was bad just before I stopped driving.
