I ordered a TV for delivery. I don’t drive, so it’s my only option. Just found it that Yodel are delivering it. Wish me luck.
reddit.comIf you’re next in the queue for self checkouts, but you’re waiting one that accepts cash, it should be your responsibility to let the person behind go through when the card only one becomes free.
I shouldn’t have to say “that one’s free” and then you say “oh, I’m waiting for the cash one”
I’m not a mind reader.
The closed windows and curtains rule worked for a few days, but now my flat is like an oven. The bricks have heated up. I should be done in 20 minutes.
reddit.comIt’s so cool that street drains are also rubbish bins. I had no idea. Specifically for cigarettes. Like, when you’re done, you can just throw it down the drain.
In case you can’t sense the tone, stop throwing cigarettes down the drain. I live in a country filled with people with no respect for anything. I see this all the time.
Pawnbrokers being allowed to advertise is predatory. 165% APR is obscene. Mix that with the constant stream of gambling sites advertising. If cigarettes aren’t allowed to advertise, then neither should these industries.
reddit.comI get so pissed off that I pay for the train and tube, but then there are people that just brazenly push through the barriers with zero consequences.

How long did it take you to recover and move on from it?
It’s a nice day. Maybe I’ll open the window. OH MY GOD someone is screaming bloody murder. Oh, no. It’s ok, it’s just kids playing.
reddit.comIt’s great that everyone learns to drive and then immediately forgets all road rules. The one that irks me the most is the cutting across the junction to the wrong side when turning into a road.
And they do it fast, too. Like they think they’re so cool.
Is anyone old enough that they’d have a friend you’d switch gaming consoles with for a week or so? My friend would take my Sega Mega Drive and I’d take his Super Nintendo.
It was fun! I’m not sure it’s something people with do now with modern consoles.
I know it’s in Highway Code now to let pedestrians cross at junctions. But it’s so awkward. I will cross when I’m ready and feel it’s safe to do so, not because a driver is waving me across. I usually wave them through to drive on.
reddit.comThankfully I live close to London so public transport is everywhere otherwise I would have to drive.
The lime bikes, kids on push scooters zooming away from their parents and look like they’re gonna veer off onto the road, drivers that have zero situational awareness. I can’t imagine how bad it is now. And it was bad just before I stopped driving.
Note - I wasn’t aggressive about it.
