That’s it folks. The final stretch of the year. Sainsbury’s have the Christmas Roses/Celebrations out on sale. Christmas is on the way. It gets earlier and earlier with these supermarkets.

Having to reiterate to coworkers not to look directly at the eclipse because they don’t have the special glasses, only for them to say “it’ll be alright. Only for few seconds. I’ve got sunglasses”. Even with pushing back on that they still don’t care. I give up.

House of the Dragon made me enjoy Game of Thrones.

I first watched Game of Thrones only when the final season was about to air. I think a lot of the time I felt a little lost. There were so many characters. So much history with different areas that I just couldn’t retain all of the information. Someone might say I’m stupid - I’m assure you I’m not.

I’m all caught up on House of the Dragon, and I’ve just watched A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. So I decided to try Game of Thrones again and this time I’m really enjoying it. Having backstory has really helped me understand the game of chess that is this world.

Companies insistent on using Ai chatbots on their website will be the demise of humanity. At no point have I ever got help from an Ai chatbot. Don’t get me started with phoning them up. Nightmare. I’m always on hold forever. We’re descending into madness.

I live a flat with shared recycling bins with the 8 other flats in the building. I don’t understand how people can think putting a whole big cardboard box in the recycling is a good idea. Now there’s no room. Crush it. Rip it up. Do something. I swear we’re just living around the dumbest people.

The lack of public toilets in this country is ridiculous. And if there are any, then they’re just wrecked. It’s illegal to pee in public. Fine. Then give us somewhere to go.

I went to Japan and they have toilets EVERYWHERE. And they were always clean.

What do you think the big event will be in season 3?

Season one had the shooting at Pitt Fest
Season two the system shutting down and the pool slide collapsing

What do you think season three will have? Some sort of hostage situation? Or a giant fire with many many burn patients?

You’ve figured out the supermarket. You know exactly where everything is, you can get in and out in 5 to 10 minutes. But then the supermarket gets bored of that layout and change it entirely. Now you’re walking around looking for the salt.

If you’re next in the queue for self checkouts, but you’re waiting one that accepts cash, it should be your responsibility to let the person behind go through when the card only one becomes free.

I shouldn’t have to say “that one’s free” and then you say “oh, I’m waiting for the cash one”

I’m not a mind reader.

It’s so cool that street drains are also rubbish bins. I had no idea. Specifically for cigarettes. Like, when you’re done, you can just throw it down the drain.

In case you can’t sense the tone, stop throwing cigarettes down the drain. I live in a country filled with people with no respect for anything. I see this all the time.

Pawnbrokers being allowed to advertise is predatory. 165% APR is obscene. Mix that with the constant stream of gambling sites advertising. If cigarettes aren’t allowed to advertise, then neither should these industries.

It’s great that everyone learns to drive and then immediately forgets all road rules. The one that irks me the most is the cutting across the junction to the wrong side when turning into a road.

And they do it fast, too. Like they think they’re so cool.

Is anyone old enough that they’d have a friend you’d switch gaming consoles with for a week or so? My friend would take my Sega Mega Drive and I’d take his Super Nintendo.

It was fun! I’m not sure it’s something people with do now with modern consoles.

I know it’s in Highway Code now to let pedestrians cross at junctions. But it’s so awkward. I will cross when I’m ready and feel it’s safe to do so, not because a driver is waving me across. I usually wave them through to drive on.

Thankfully I live close to London so public transport is everywhere otherwise I would have to drive.

The lime bikes, kids on push scooters zooming away from their parents and look like they’re gonna veer off onto the road, drivers that have zero situational awareness. I can’t imagine how bad it is now. And it was bad just before I stopped driving.
