RIP poor Skiff the Rogue

RIP poor Skiff the Rogue

RIP poor Skiff the Rogue.

While investigating an abandoned farmhouse at the edge of a marsh he fell into a sinkhole and ended up in a disused tomb. (A)

Following noises to the east, he went down the tomb corridor until he came to a passage with a damp musty, smell and scratching noises coming from it. (B)

Wisely deciding nope, he left the potential combat encounter unexplored and continued east.

Where he stumbled into a pit trap. (C)

He made his save and caught handholds on the irregular walls of the crude pit and managed to climb back up to the tomb corridor. (D)

His luck didn't hold however, because about a 100 yards further on he didn't see the pressure plate in the floor or the guillotine set flush with the ceiling. (E)

SHUNK!!!

Poor Skiff died without even encountering the frog people who had turned the tomb into their hideout.

Future characters who explore the tomb will find Skiff's pack, a belt pouch with a few silver pieces, a dagger, and the left half of a skeleton cleanly sliced down the middle.

A random TMI thought but years ago, when my transition was a novelty for the people around me, probably the most bizarre topic of conversation was the number of people who thought that HRT would somehow cause me to regrow a full head of hair.

While I did indeed have a full head of chestnut hair that fell halfway down my back as a teenager that I wore first in a Veronica Lake hairstyle and then in an asymmetrical undercut on one side, and let me tell you, the screaming fits with my grandparents who wanted me to get a 1950s crew cut were legendary, my body's original high octane testosterone production caused me to start losing my hair at the age of twenty three. By my late 20s I had the hairline of Larry from the Three Stooges and by my 30s I was resigned to wearing baseball caps at all times and I didn't need a bald cap to play Riff Raff in my local Rocky Horror cast.

Yes, there's some anecdotal evidence that going on HRT can reverse mild hair loss along the hairline if it's early enough, but I would need necromancy to get my original hair back.

So I have to lean into the wigs and just be thankful that in real life either nobody notices or nobody cares about it. When I do change it up, it confuses the hell out of people.
