Decided - much to my wife's relief - that I was going to stop trying to do kickflips on my skateboard and semi retire, which meant acquiring a longboard and cruising up n down the local marina on an evening while Fluid (Soma FM) plays in my ear holes. Love being able to go over tiny stones but there was one close call with a cracked paving slab. No dogs or children were harmed either. Now to go lounge in my hammock with a can of punk IPA
I have this odd problem that I can never get samples to sound good together. Not whole bars of things, just individual one-hit samples of plucks/strings/whatever. Clearly I suck at any kind of tuning and don't have pitch perfect hearing. What I would really like is a simple app that I can drag a sample into and it tell me "D5" "A3" "C2 and about 20 cents" etc.
Even better if I can then press a button to make it resample it at the nearest C or A.
So far the closest I've found is Tony ( https://www.sonicvisualiser.org/tony ) but even that seems to complicated, it seems to place the waveform on a grid but won't just tell me, I'm there squinting at it and trying to work out the closest note, like, is that an A? It also doesn't playback, just silence, so I'm guessing it doesn't like my soundcard
Trying to put together a workflow that doesn't require docker etc to be installed. So far using dotnet publishcontainer is working using my CSPROJ - I can generate a tarball, sftp it to the server and docker load it there. All good. But the image requires a certain font to be installed. It's on the host server's base system (Debian 12) but I'm getting an error.
The old Dockerfile had some commands in to apt-get the font, so am I stuck or is there a way of getting the font into the container without Docker Desktop?
dotnet publish projectname.csproj --os linux --arch x64 /t:PublishContainer -p ContainerArchiveOutputPath=./projectname.tar.gz

I'd like to be able to quickly switch between two settings profiles
- When I'm home on my 5GHz wifi : 1080/60
- When out and about : 720/30
Could possibly be per connection, if at home I'm connecting via LAN address and via domain when out of the house, would that work?
30 hours in, and haven't started Act 2 yet, done every shrine, fox hole, hot spring etc in this area. Going to play something else for a while. BTW it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realise that you could zoom out another level and what I thought was the whole open world was actually like 1/4 of it (including DLC). Ouch.
