How is your character doing?

Anyone in any crazy situations right now?

It's day 256 for me, I just finished Sutherland's quests and now I'm hanging at home at quonset building furniture and fishing to replenish my oil supply. I'm looking to try out the manufactured arrows on one of the bears as well because I need some fat for pemmican. I'll probably hang out here for another week or 2 just crafting and stockpiling, then I'm off to MT and HRV to gather plants and any other loot for my giant food pantry. But that's about it.

Expedition parkas

Are awesome. The summit was very kind to me.

I think I can handle the FT in this. I would trade the rabbit mitts for gauntlets though.

I got the flag at the dam

I was passing through and I figured I'd give it a shot. Stacked a few barrels and moved some cardboard but it didn't take very long. My trusty step ladder I made the other day should come in handy.

I made a step ladder.

I saw someone do this a while back, but I thought this was pretty dang handy. It's just 3 crates stacked but set about halfway through each other in safehouse customization.

You silly bear...

This is my turf. He was very tasty, enjoyed as steaks, jerky, and worked into my pemmican.

TWM

I think this was the first time an Aurora happened while on the summit, had to fire one off for shits and giggles.

Now that everything is down from the summit, I'm spending a couple days looting cat tails and plants from AC. After that, everything gets moved to Thompson's crossing (dizinator's crossing now that I've established predatory dominance), and then to dizinator's quonset garage. Not sure where to after that because I still haven't found any prepper caches. Anyways hope everyone is safe and dry.

Cheers

Ok Interlopers, I see you

I posted the other day and asked for advice for starting interloper and got some really great advice(I am a voyageur veteran 🦉). So far I've died twice. 1st run I got to day 4. I started in DP, but couldn't find any tools except 2 pry bars, a bedroll, and a lantern, and I made it all the way to CH and was exploring jackrabbit island. I died from food poisoning from straight chowing on raw rabbit to stop dying from starvation and I was going to counteract it with my prepared reishi. The problem was I had not made the tea yet and was going to make it afterwards while trying to wait out a blizzard in the cabin. But I left my recycled cans on a campfire near the watchtower. So in a mad sprint across the ice, I made it halfway up the hill before succumbing to the snow.

My 2nd run death is way more dumb. I survived 7 days from AC to PV (barely). AC started off alright, I found matches in anglers den and I felt really good. I gathered some wood and made a fuckload of torches and set off to get the backpack. No real trouble, it's just cold. Spent a couple days there but didn't find anything except a pry bar, some food here and there. I did find the memento for the box of fish which came in really handy. I spent 4 days there then headed to the mountain. Got to mountaineers and 2 wolves followed me and decided to just hang out right next to the door all night. The next day I found the hammer in the fishing hit which was a big morale booster. I wanted to try to make a run at the so I went through the cave and realized I didn't have any place to rest on the mountain because I hadn't found a bedroll yet. So I decided to head to PV. Got some good rest and was full of cattails and rabbits. I made it all the way down the rope and got inside the little abandoned house next to the bunker. I was lighting a fire and all of a sudden a wolf was right behind me, even with a lit torch, and took me down instantly, even with about 70% condition.

This difficulty is not for the faint of heart, even for someone who has 1700 hours in the game. It really makes me think of the show Alone, which I enjoy. I'm gonna keep trying at it, I think little milestones are important and I really appreciate everyone's advice.

But for now I'm gonna take a break and finish up the challenges.

Cheers survivors.

S4e8 Tunguska

At about 11:40, Krycek, that rotten bastard, has just been caught doing some stuff with some dudes, and is trying to be all sweet and cute with Mulder and Scully. [I want] to find the man who tried to kill me. The same man that's responsible for your father's death. For your sister's"

Motherfucker that was you!

I don't like Krycek.

I'm starting interloper.

I think I'm off to a good start. I started in DP, I did find matches and a flare and it's day 2. I have 1700 hours in voyageur. My biggest question is just pick up sticks and make torches the way to go? Once I get tools I should be ok, but what's the trick to keeping fire alive/stretching out your matches?

Question about specialists

I briefly read that these specialists only work on islands where there isn't fertility for it (ie lavender).

So what happens if I add this specialist to an island where I'm already growing lavender?

Trade routes with issues, where are you?

I've organized and made my trade routes as simple as possible. I've gone through them multiple times, spent an hour redoing and naming them. Anyone have some insight? My goods seem to be getting to where they need to be, the little red notification just bothers me because everything was fine so for so long!

I attached a video, it currently says 3 routes with issues. I'm pretty close to deleting all of them and starting over again

Edit: The issue was 3 of my routes that were trying to receive togas weren't being supplied, because I forgot to build 4 more dye processors. Lesson is always double check your supply chains.

Name this band. (Some of my power armor)

I haven't painted the t-60 yet, but I'm running out of room downstairs. 3 t-45s, another t-60 and an almost finished t-51.

Gotta catch em all.

I just kind of started playing with the decorations and started around the trading post and port area. This is what I've done so far.
