I’m traveling to Ho Chi Minh City in about a week, and I need to buy a fairly expensive item online to use while I’m there. Unfortunately, shipping it to my home country isn’t an option because it won’t arrive before I leave.

For those of you living in Vietnam, would it be possible to have it shipped there under my name (I’ve never been to Vietnam before) and then collect it from the post office or courier when I arrive?

Are there any issues I should be aware of, such as import taxes, customs, ID requirements, or anything else that could make this difficult for a foreign tourist?

I’ve been living here for 3 years and honestly haven’t had the best experiences with trainers before due to communication issues. I realised, it genuinely makes a huge difference for me to have someone I can communicate with comfortably. I’ve tried searching on Instagram and gym sites but it’s honestly hard to tell who’s actually good or even speaks English comfortably.

Are there any specific gyms, communities or forms people may use for this? Would appreciate recommendations or even tips on where to search.
