My friend from Turkiye is looking for 50 Volunteers for a survey

My friend from Istanbul is looking for 50 people as volunteers to work as a secret customer for 2 weeks only.

They will be paid $5 for each ride and the payment will be cleared everyday.

Is there anyone who can help my friend in it?

how come istanbulates can afford housing?

when I communicate with or do a research or watch their media there is a single most important issue for all southern european and mediterranean destinations where it be portugal spain italy croatia.. and that is the housing prices but it seems to bout to be an issue for turkish people is that because the country has had a great economic growth or because for turkish people housing is a priority otherwise they should have been so rich like parisians that they could afford is spite of massive tourism

Question about the sweet tea from the bazaars

Hello everyone, I'm traveling in Turkey, I was in Istanbul, and they had a really nice pomegranate tea, it was sweet and I asked if it contains sugar, the seller told me and promised me that it was stevia, I told him that it was for my mom (she is diabetic) and he said yes it is and promised, now I'm wondering if he actually was telling the truth.

We bought like 400grs because my mom doesn't drink much water, so I wanted to help her and thought maybe she could drink this tea that she liked. She will go back to Mexico soon, but now I'm a little bit worried that she will end up drinking pure sugar.

Does anyone know if these teas are actually made up with stevia? Or pure sugar.?

It was not from a package so there was not nutrimental values. Thank you in advance

Islamic marriage in Istanbul

I’m Egyptian-Canadian and my fiancée is Moroccan. We’re both Muslim, and we were both previously married and are now divorced. We’re planning to get married in Istanbul in the next couple of weeks.
While researching the marriage process in Turkey, it seems that marriages there are primarily civil marriages through the municipality/courts rather than religious Islamic marriages.
Does anyone know if it’s possible for foreigners to have an Islamic marriage ceremony in Turkey without going through the civil court process first? Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

How polluted is the air quality of the istanbul metro?

Hi there. I'm thinking of taking me and my dad on a trip to istanbul.

My dad has a medical condition called sarcoidosis. Its just basically a breathing condition. Day to day life he doesnt struggle with it.

However whenever we use a cities metro he has a very bad cough attack and legit cant breathe depending on how polluted it is. However on the brand new elizabeth line and on sub-surface tube lines he is a-ok.

Is the istanbul metro like the sub surface london underground lines or have modern ventilation like the Elizabeth line or does it not have much ventilation?

A call for Solidarity

Hello everyone,

This message has no political intent, just a request for solidarity 🙏

I’m posting here because a very close French friend was a skipper on the flotilla that attempted to sail to Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid.

After being detained in Israel, he has just been sent back to Istanbul with only his passport. I’m trying to connect him with anyone who might be able to help out in Istanbul (accommodation, meals, or anything else).

He no longer has any documents at all, except his passport. If anyone is able to help him, that would be amazing!

His name is Antoine, 32 years old, a musician and skipper, an amazing human being

Is is possible to meet someone in my situation?

I’m a guy in my mid 20s and I’ve been working and living in Istanbul for over a year now.

So far, I’ve been too busy with work, training, and other responsibilities to really have much of a social life. I’ve had a few relationships, but they didn’t last because of lifestyle differences.

I don’t drink or smoke at all, and I really don’t enjoy loud clubs. Because of that, my options for meeting people feel much more limited. Also, most of my friends around me are married and busy with their own lives, so I usually end up going out alone.

After work and gym, I’m honestly getting a bit bored of just playing computer games. At the same time, I don’t really want to use dating apps. I think I have a pretty strong psychological resistance to them.

So I’m curious about your opinions. where should I go, or what kind of activities should I try, if I want to naturally meet good people in Istanbul?

I want to go to these streets, but can't find their names

Hello,

This video showed up on my feed and some of the views are simply amazing! I am going to visit Istanbul in September and I have started doing my homework regarding what to visit. Gotta say that these locations caught my attention both for the beautiful scenery and the cats!

Does anybody know the street names? I was looking with Google Lens, but I get only general information like Sultantepe Sokak or Balat Sokak.

Domestic transit in Istanbul

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding a domestic transfer in Istanbul.

My flight arrives from Nevşehir Kapadokya at 14:55, and my next flight to Dalaman is at 16:10.

Will 1 hour 15 minutes be enough to catch my next flight? Are the domestic gates usually near each other?

Both flights are under one booking.
Thank you!
