I moved to the UK at a young age and I always had non-malayali friends growing up. Now I'm entering my late 20s scared I will forget the language if I don't use it. I am looking for a guy and trying to make online friends who are from Kerala to stay closer to my culture, but my manglish skills are pulling me back. I would say my spoken Malayalam is 6/10 (only ever use it with my parents or family back home), I have 0 skills in reading or writing manglish text. When I get replies back in manglish, it takes me ages to decode it or I end up replying back in English as I don't know how to type it. How can I improve my manglish skills?

Is there any manglish texting lingo I need to be aware of? E.g it surprised me 'Kurapam illa' is actually written as 'kuzhapam illa'. Are there any similar rules/ text speech.
