Vega - 18x26” screen print on paper

I got into screen printing as an illustrator and artist but have spent the last decade or so running my own shop and chasing the bag as a commercial garment decorator.

Having been inspired by many of the amazing fine art printers on this sub, and looking for a way to feel inspired by my profession again, I’ve been leaning back into fine art print-making. This piece is my first attempt at that.

The illustration took about 100 hours and was inspired by my time spent roadtripping around Southern Baja. The image was manually printed on Rives BFK paper with 280 mesh screens.

Thanks to all the members of this community who have answered my questions about flat stock printing over the last year or so. You’ve all helped put a bit of wind back into the sails of this dirtbag t-shirt printer!

I quit Zyn for good a couple weeks ago. I’ve got 16 cans worth of points, if anyone wants them.

Quitting is totally worth it! If anyone wants me to snap pics of these cans so they can redeem some points for something as they’re quitting, shoot me a DM. I’ll delete this post once they’re claimed.
