I Released an Album Inspired by Jeff and Chris

I released some original music, and it's taken me my whole life to get to this point. I was a bass mercenary for a bunch of bands for more years than I care to admit, but it wasn't until I heard Grace that I wanted to buy a guitar—Jeff's guitar. I recorded this album with a blonde '83 Telecaster I scoured the internet for back in 2011 (and added a mirror pick guard and Seymour Duncan hot stack to boot).

While I can't sing like Chris, I could attempt some of what Jeff did with falsetto and more of a chorus vocalist type of approach. The song titled "Sin-é" is about my dog whom I of course named after the venue.

People I grew up with were all listening to pop punk, which I could never relate to. I leaned more toward Gen X with my musical taste. I'm a 90s kid forever and a grunge kid forever. Sadness is built in.

I hope you guys don't mind me sharing here, and if you wind up listening, I hope you enjoy!

Websites to Find A Band

What websites are y'all using these days to find musicians? I tried posting on Craigslist like an old man, and my post(s) were flagged for some reason.

Not sure what's happening there, but it'd be great to know what other credible websites/apps you've found luck with. Cheers!

I Released an Album Inspired by Chris and Jeff

I finally got around to releasing some original music, and I'm not sure where to share it online. It's taken me my whole damn life, as I was a bass mercenary for so many years, but I finally forced myself to write and release music at 39 years young.

The songs are heavily inspired by Chris. You'll hear his influence in the music and inspiration from his lyrics. I used an '83 Telecaster to record this album (Jeff's year/model), and the last song was in an alternate tuning (CGCCGC).
