9 year old 17 degree curve

Hello, I’m new here.
My daughter started out last year with a 10 degree curve so it had been monitored every six months. After three appointments six months apart the dr was hopeful that it was so mild that she would grow out of it. Well this past appointment it showed 17 degrees after an 8 month gap from appointments (dr wanted to space it out since there was little change ).
Now we will be going in three months and I wanted to know what I could do to support my daughter. She currently does gymnastics, and will be starting cheerleading soon. She’s very active. She does not complain of pain yet. The curve is starting to be an S shape. I am scared for her. Any help or advice is appreciated. The de said that curves at 25 degrees receive a brace.

Fat necrosis over time ?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had experience with fat necrosis on the inside of your breast? I have it around my nipple area of one nipple and it makes the area very hard and uncomfortable. I do the massage they suggested to “soften” it but I’m just curious if any one else has made it to the other side of this, will it ever truly not be as hard and uncomfortable? The surgeon could care less. Any tips and tricks are appreciated! It’s close to the top of my breast and not in the middle so I feel it every time I cross my arms or pick up my child and it’s very uncomfortable.

Scar treatment success?

Hello!
Well, after nearly 4 months of a necrotic wound, it’s finally been healed and now I am six months postop and I was promised, micro needling through my surgeons office to help with the scarring. Only to find out that you can’t go in the pool or in the ocean for five days after you have it done which is a big issue because now it’s June and I have a family and there’s really no other way around it unfortunately . Has anyone had any success with specific scar products?
My surgeon gave me her scar products and quite frankly I don’t think they do anything. The newer scar tape from Amazon is infinitely better than the one that I was given by the office.. but that’s another thing now it’s getting so hot that the scar tape is so irritating. On top of that aside from the incision scars I have a big surgical wound scar that’s about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. It looks like a burn scar. If anybody can offer any assistance, I would really appreciate it.
Because I was unable to use scar products immediately after the 6-8 week mark, I now have hypertrophic scars all along all of my incisions in addition to the surgical wound scar. And I can honestly say that going forward I’ll never trust another picture I see on the Internet again, especially with picture enhancements that can be made.

Hello!

I have been a life long contact lense wearer, my prescription is in the higher end (-6.75).

I have always just worn my contacts into the water my whole life ( not going under water ever) , recently I decided to start wearing my glasses more and I hit a roadblock. How do I go to a pool or a beach without wearing contacts?

I have a beach trip coming up and I’m trying to figure out how to go to the beach without wearing contacts. Any ideas would be great, until this year I have only worn glasses at night before bed and in the morning. So this transition is new for me and I am unsure how to navigate it. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you!
