Won’t be grading any because I do not have the money to do so (actually had to sell a lot of my childhood collection this summer) and the grading horror stories put me off it completely anyway. There were around 500 cards. Since these photos were taken I can assure that I did sleeve everything, and top-loaded the ones I cared about (lot came with Neo files 1-3 and most of the world Pikas which I was very careful with). Nearly all of the cards were in incredible condition! Guy who sold it to me was just happy his uncle’s collection ended up with someone who plans to keep it. I did sell duplicates to cover cost of the lot, but as soon as that cost was covered these babies will be sticking with me until I’m 6 feet under. Best day ever.

First Card Show Haul!

Haul from visiting my first ever card show! Traded an HP Arceus Reverse Holo Gengar for $30 and the Porygon2 unseen forces (could have gone higher but not horrible for my first barter) with one vendor, then did a bit of trading around with other vendors with a couple older foil cards, nothing high value, and spent 10 of the $30. All in all though, what really made me happy was the kindness in the community. The people running this event were fantastic at choosing non-scalpy vendors. It was really nice to chat with and trade with them, and there were a lot of great people just visiting as well. A guy gifted me the Porygon2 with the hearts after hearing I was collecting those, which I was so grateful for. Also a vendor gifted me the japanese and chinese/korean? bird cards as well after I talked about my bird binder and how I’m working towards becoming an ornithologist. Overall just really positive experience, I went in nervous and left knowing there is still a very very strong authentic community of Pokemon enjoyers. Idk just really really happy with the outcome. Also not expensive! I had to sell off a good chunk of my collection for college, but I’m still able to enjoy the hobby with a pack here and there and these events! These cards are all sitting happily in my bird binder now, save Kabuto lol

Packaging Cards

Working on clearing some of my collection for college and opened an eBay. What are insights on packaging? Right now they go in a penny sleeve, toploader (paper over top secured w washi tape), team bag, then sandwiched between cardboard with painter’s tape. Then put in a bubble mailer. Are there any other steps I should be taking or should be altered? Don’t want to be seen as a nightmare by collector. Thank you guys!

Holo Leak and Swirl on Articuno

Going through my old cards and discovered the holo leaked through my Articuno, with a pretty dope swirl to boot!

Should I grade?

I looked through some PSA 10s that sold on ebay and this looks like it might score a 10. However it is really expensive to ship it in, so wanted to know my chances on return on investment. Trying to scrape together money for college. Thank you guys!
