Homemade cowgirl boots

Over the last month my two oldest daughters and I made a pair of boots together to show at the boot roundup this year and to teach them the process. They were fit for the 10 year old who also designed and sewed the tops. Veg kangaroo top, bull shoulder vamp, goat collar, Horsefront lining. We only had one last so we had to print the other. Pulls were cotton dyed with cochineal

Sixth pair, made for my sister

We copied the pattern from an old Olsen Stelzer boot, she requested bull shoulder for the vamps and the overall look and build was more rugged for ranch use but I think they turned out pretty classy. First time using a vamp break and continuing to work on patterning. The heels weren’t well finished cause I did them with a belt sander out at the family cabin in NC.
