Daycare good or bad?

My little guy is 26 months and only has 1 solid word “me” which he uses to express want. He has great interaction with others and has great imaginative play so I don’t really see him on the spectrum. He had been going to an in home daycare until the beginning of the summer when mom finished work for the summer(she teaches). The in home was a lovely motherly type who only had one other child. Now he is going to the daycare located at my job with roughly 10 other kids and is much more structured.

My question is does anyone have experience with sending their delayed child’s to a more structured daycare? Did you have good or bad experiences?

How high should the water come up through the middle drain hole on my 2003 13’?

In the video I am standing on the dock rocking the boat port to starboard. Is the water level too high meaning wet foam? The boat has nothing on it and has the original merc 40.

Don’t be like me…

It’s July 19th, a good deal into the season. I haven’t put my 2003 Boston whaler 13 into the water because the 23 year old mercury 40hp 2 stroke wasn’t peeing. I figured it needed an impeller and started my journey of doing that project. West marine sold me the wrong kit and didn’t have the right one when I went to exchange. The marine parts store had the right kit but for some reason didn’t include the necessary seals.

This brings me to today. I finally get the impeller kit together from yet another marine parts store. Start the job and immediately notice the old impeller was fine. Put it all back together with the new parts and sure as sh** it’s trickling again. I immediately begin pounding my head against the wall.

That’s when the 12 year old said “maybe the pee hole is clogged”……… a little weed whacked string later and wouldn’t you know it, pissing like a champ.

I lost a month of boating along with not taking her to Montauk because I didn’t think to check the “pee hole”.

Don’t be like me, check your pee hole.

Need advise about remaining at a dealership

My brother works for a ford dealership in mid Florida. He has been attending classes to get his certifications. Recently his dealership has put him on a mobile unit. There was an issue at a customer’s house with a jack failing causing damage to a customer’s car. The dealership says he has to pay for it even though he says the jack failed. They also say the cost of the repair is lower than the insurance deductible ($2500). In addition, he hasn’t been sent to any ford classes in a few months. Is this shady behavior? Should he look for a new place to work?

How much would you expect to pay for a new impeller on a 2003 mercury 40hp with labor.

I was just quoted $600 for a new impeller. They said 2 hours plus parts and tax would be ~$600. This seems high. Is it because I am located on Long Island near Northport?

Looking for smart recessed lights for my soffit

Does anyone have a recommendation for a quality recessed outdoor smart soffit light? Wife says I'm allowed to not hang Christmas lights as long as I can make them red and green so that's a must! I need the "smart" to be processed locally, last year all my Sengled lights stopped working when their server went down.

So far, the only thing I have found is the DALS DCP-DDP6WH with the DCP-HUBV2 hub. Does anyone have experience with these? There $155 each so that seems high.

The Hue 6' slim downlight would work but I can't find if its suitable for a soffit application.

I'm also worried about the "Lighting profile" and other things I've seen on this sub. Are there other things I should be considering? Edge lit vs back lit? Glare?
Please help!
