First time EA, Quit same week

im just ranting to rant but also as someone who has NEVER worked HR prior to this, it would be nice to get some insight whether my decision in this scenario was the "right" choice.

Job listing for the posted role was extremely straightforward and seemed like nothing out of my skillset. I got the job and I was estatic being able to earn more money than I have in any of my previous jobs (I'm an entry level student so 25/hr was big for me). I was assigned to support 1 CEO and 3 VPs but they had me working with VPs from other departments to support them as well. In total, I think I was expected to assist like 5 VPs in total. I was also a contingent worker on a contract which was to end in x months but with the possibility of being promoted full-time.

Day 1 I get there and they all reassure me that I do not have to rush and I can take my time learning but everyone in this department / other departments all work remote so learning any sort of new training was so difficult to access and because this company had lots of large projects undergoing, everything just felt so fast paced and that they had some sort of expectation for me to catch up quick. They wanted me to take meeting minutes the first week of my new role and discussed working on presentations in the second week of my job.

I know new jobs are meant to be overwhelming but to have something like this all thrown at me at once felt unfair I cried so hard after my first day. I tried to make it to the end of the week but I gave up day 3 because they had me attending meetings back to back all other days and I felt like the information being thrown at me and expectations held for this wasn't worth 25/hr. I was receiving little to no support and Im not sure if training in this role is standard or not since I quite literally had nothing to work with ! Im not sure if this pay was fair or not for supporting that # of VPs but even I'm not desperate enough to make it work so I left 😭 I hate to ghost a job as I have never done such a thing before but even after a month I still feel guilt and hold some kind of regret (unsure if I made the right choice). I have experience in scheduling / microsoft etc but goodness this was just the most overwhelming I had been in my life. And the expectations that have run with me during the interviews made it seem that this was something I was more than capable of doing despite my resume not holding prior HR / EA experience. I have lurked a little on this subreddit and noticed that burnout and stress is oftentimes met with as an EA so I truly did not think that this role was meant for me, however, I still feel a sense of guilt. I was offered partial remote work for this position but even then it wasnt enough to have me stay.

Ive moved on to a new job with slightly less pay but I already feel immense mental relief. I dont think my experience speaks common for most EAs (I think) but after this I definitely have gained a newfound sense of respect for those in this position and those working in similar areas of HR work. It absolutely is not for the faint of heart! I try to not hold any guilt and I keep reassuring myself that I think I'm being reasonable for my decision considering they had me supporting so many individuals. But then again Im not too sure.

Are usakumyas even attainable anymore

I noticed baby was doing drops for the usa backpacks the past few weeks and tried my luck on those. Nobody told me the line to checkout for these is like over 2 hours long. I thought it was because I was slow on my end so when they announced their drop for the remainder of the usa backpacks today I felt more prepared by creating an account. 30 minutes before drop the checkout line is still +1 hour wait and I assume it is literally just for the usas.

How are you supposed to even beat these queues? T_T Is it all bots and scalpers I am going against?? Or is there a method to make it to the checkout first wayyy ahead of the noon drops? I have only been able to get usas from second hand sites like jp mercari in the past and even then I still always end up paying a bit more than the retail just because it is impossible to get them at retail. I want to continue to keep an eye out for whenever BTSSB announces more usa restocks (because I am dying to own a rucksack) but if it's me going against bots then I have to stop getting my hopes up. (and it sucks so bad because I know theyre already being scalped and people are still buying them!!)

Shipping Oversized Package

im trying to ship a large bookshelf across the states for a move. UPS is the cheapest option via pirateship. Including length x width x height it exceeds the max shipping size of 165" by literally only 4 inches ( it measures 169") the shelf is already packaged to the smallest it can be and is not heavy. If I had to guess it probably weighs around 50 pounds or less. So I am not too worried about the package being overweight, but because it's oversized I was thinking about just using the max size possible to ship. I think it was about $230 to ship it. Pirateships warning me that if UPS finds that it exceeds the size limit that I may get charged for Very Expensive surcharges/fees. I obviously dont want to deal with that but I worry that because it technically is slightly over the size limit, that I wont be able to ship it through UPS. Ive briefly looked into other options but this is the cheapest and most efficient way to ship and using any other company or shipping service is like much more expensive like +400 which just sounds so ridiculous when the item im trying to ship is literally just barely over the size limit. I know for smaller packages I have misjudged and shipped the wrong size and have never had an issue, but because this one is so large I worry.

Would it be possible to mail the shelf and just estimate that the size is exactly at 165"? Or do you guys actually measure the packages and I should find an alternative. Any help is appreciated.
