When to schedule B1/B2 visa appointment for pregnant sister in law ? (India)

Hi everyone, looking for advice on our situation:

- I'm on H1B in the US
- My brother has had a valid B1/B2 since 2013
- My sister-in-law (India) is applying for her first B1/B2
- She is currently 3 months pregnant

Given current wait times and birth tourism scrutiny, we're planning to book her appointment ~10 months from now so the interview happens well after delivery (baby due in ~6 months).

  1. Can we book her appointment now for 10 months out, and add the newborn later once the baby has a passport?
  2. Has anyone done this on ustraveldocs.com - is adding a family member to an existing appointment straightforward?
  3. Any tips for the interview given she'll have a newborn and no prior US visa history? She is currently employed as a senior manager in a tech company.

If it’s a complicated process, we can start the DS-160 application after delivery too, it doesn’t have to be now. Main goal was to save the appointment waiting time anyway as she can’t give B1/B2 interview now while being pregnant.

Thanks!!

Is my manager making a fool out of my career ?

He is my manager since last 3 years but my career is going downhill in this company majorly because of immigration problems I have faced due to company’s lawyers mishandling my application. This is on going since Jan 2025. Due to this issue, my promotion was delayed and my salary wasn’t raised either. Teammates don’t see my value because of heavy judgement around my current designation. I kept telling my boss I want to be a software architect but he is giving me mediocre work. Yesterday he gave me a project where he made junior my supervisor (there’s a rumor about their secret friendship and favoritism in the workplace). Meanwhile, my project to build infrastructure was given to someone else. He never praises me, treats me like an underdog.

Asc is Leo hence I represent Sun in 11H in Cancer. Some people in workplace see my worth.
10H is career/bosses and he is represented by Venus in Leo in my 1H.

My boss is focused on me, because of immigration dependency. He probably wants me to praise him everyday for his support towards my immigration problems which the employer itself induced. I am no where a culprit.

Moon is in Scorpio in 4H shows deep private anxieties, something hidden behind the surface. No aspect between Sun-Venus. But Moon is going to square Venus. Leading friction, there’s an emotional conflict between us.

Sun is in detriment, lacking power in this situation, light is diminished. Sun receives Venus, I respect authority and give him respect more than what he deserves.
Venus is also in detriment, lacking integrity. Venus doesn’t receive sun, he has no positive regards for me.

Hence, chart shows he doesn’t respect me as a valuable teammate, probably tolerating me because of immigration issues but he is definitely making a mockery of my career.

I absolutely want to switch jobs since last 2 years but immigration has made me a bondage. No other company is interested in hiring me on a few months of leftover visa. Only my current employer can extend my visa validity. I am aware that the day I would tell them about me quitting, they will blame me that I “used” them for visa and going for a better job. I have just no control to make any decisions for myself anymore.

Just a yes/no question - does my ex boyfriend hate me ?

We are in a no contact situation. I broke it recently to wish him birthday and he replied thank you. None of us tried to communicate again.

A yes/no would suffice if someone’s intuition can help me here, thank you!!

When will I switch to a better job? [astro-seek]

Hello. I was having a great career in the foreign country between 2015 to 2020. Then Covid hit, got laid off, US visa got lapsed and I was forced to pack up and leave. I worked hard, kept giving interviews, prepared for engineering jobs and after struggling for 2 years, I landed job again in the US in 2022. But, my life since I joined current workplace became completely miserable.

It is now going to be 4 years of suffering. I am treated like an underdog, because my hiring happened internationally, they put me on the lowest designation and salary range. Although I kept working as a senior, project lead, SME but my salary, designation was of a recent grad and it started giving me immense mental health issues that I am worthless. I am a masters in Computer Science batch 2015. Multiple folks at the office think of me as a bad worker because of my designation reflecting I am unsuccessful person. My manager made me a victim of circumstances when they delayed my visa extension by 2 years. I cannot switch jobs till the extension gets approved. The immigration team has repeatedly delayed, made application errors, made me chase them. No escalation to SVP worked out and the immigration team said “sorry we are sending you back” and transferred me internally to my home location. My salary was reduced to local currency but I am working same job responsibilities. It is currently reduced to 23% of what I was making when I was in the US.

Till my visa extension gets approved, I cannot get promoted, cannot switch to any other job either. Because my official title is of recent grad, HR is not able to put my salary in the right pay grade either. I was a class topper in school and my career has collapsed because of my employer. I truly hate them.

They are saying they would bring me back to the US in late 2026 for 1 more year and check if extension would get approved.

My simple question, is there anything good going to happen with my career in the US ? When will I be able to switch to a better employer and be happy with my new job ? I have been waiting since last 4 years, working for them like a donkey on peanuts.

My career is my biggest pride. I am still ambitious I can achieve success in life. My patience with my current situation is disheartening me. Please help in reading the chart. Thank you!!
