Having a really good time with MDF
In a sea of 3D printing I don’t feel like enough people give praise to the laser cut community these are stellar. From ttcombat and war world scenics.

Now look I’ve heard so much griping about “streamlining” and consolidating gangs into one book and “removing core gang identity” by putting all the newer more complex additional rules in journals but can I just say something:
As an old school Necromunda 95-97 player, everything modern that I’ve seen, particularly in the 2020s, has kept me well away from new editions. It’s always felt like the floorboards have begun creaking under the weight of new stuff, and fluff that is written in to justify more rules. As I understand it the game is supposed to be light, fast, colourful, driven by emergent stories and unique terrain setups, and above all about fun over sweaty competitive games.
Can we at least pause to consider the idea that at the end of the day we’re rolling dice for little people with tiny guns who exist as an island of down to earth joy within the wider 40k setting of overpowered superhumans? Does it HAVE to be complicated and gritty? Can I not just buy the new Outlands book, grab some models off my shelf, and run something, without feeling guilty?
Food for thought anyway, love you all, see you at the hair metal bar in Heretic’s Hole (you know the one).
(Edit: I don’t want to minimise other peoples experiences by the way other takes are welcome!)
before you comment 'uhm this is so late' and or 'i cant get hold of any volkus sprues' please understand that while i of course in my magnaminity deign to both love and respect you i also am obviously not at fault for that
i dont have photoshop right now but when i get it back these will look better
This is so beautiful, I think a couple more barricades on deployment as start of the game as free equipment will really make this special (if you buy the equipment box and don’t hand them out like candy at the start of the game are you really living?)
i just want an ammo run in the game people need to put one in so i made one
Hey everyone. I’ve been playing Nemesis operatives and it’s really great. However I’ve been wanting to properly include named characters on 40mm bases in the game for a while, as I upscaled my Yarrick to 40mm to match his reputation. We wanted him to have his Bale Eye and resurrection ability, so we made him a small Nemesis and gave him Digital Weapons from Deathwatch and a 4+ to get back up with five wounds. This lead to the homebrew below which has always worked, even on other characters. You can give it a try too if you want! Picrel, it’s Yarrick and the Ratling snipers, with two classic Ogryns for backup. A legal team!
Nemesis “Hero”
C4, M6, SV4+, W30
Instead of using the “Small” nemesis template, write in “Hero”. Select traits and loadout from Small as normal. A Hero works best on a smaller base such as 40mm - but try to avoid going lower.
A Hero ignores the “Towering Size” rule, in other words it can use the conceal order and use cover normally. A Hero can only defend with three dice as normal operatives do.
A Hero has five less wounds than a small Nemesis. When a Hero is incapacitated, roll a D6. On a 4+ the Hero arises with five wounds remaining, and cannot be incapacitated for the remainder of the action. They may dash or disengage up to 3”. This movement does not trigger effects of other abilities. If they fell during their turn, that turn ends after choosing whether or not to make the move.
If you wish to make your Hero have a unique or powerful ability to represent their background, consider adding an existing equipment effect, unique action, or faction rule to their loadout. For example, the XV26 Battlesuits team Stealth Field faction rule works very well when given to Boss Snikkrot.
As always, agree this and all other homebrew with your opponent. If you wish to enjoy a balanced game, consider matching heroes against each other in an Approved Ops mission.
