Muhammad is not a timeless example.

If the prophet muhammad was truly meant to be an example for ALL of mankind being the final prophet, why would god make a child his wife? yes the times may have been different back then but surely god knew that there would come a time where these were not the customs in society anymore. seems ill fitting. AGAIN, this is NOT a a comparison between a 7th century marriage and modern society. this is about what it means to set a precedent for the rest of time. i’m not christian but jesus is a much more timeless example. not muhammad.
for goodness sake, the constitution of america was written with more foresight. mere humans could anticipate change and create a framework for future generations.

others self sabotage

anyone else not affected emotionally and psychologically by not being muslim anymore? i mean no night terrors, no fears of hell, no “what ifs” etc. no anger as well which is the biggest hurdle for most. i have just as much rigorous religious conditioning and trauma as the next person but i see people who left islam yet constantly preoccupied with deconstructing and trying to validate something? i’m not sure how constructive this is. when i read these posts it seems like they’re pulling themselves into deeper turmoil. this is so bizarre to me and sometimes i feel a bit insensitive but i’m from the understanding that you need to pull yourself up from the bootstraps move on and build a life. i feel like people forget you can be addicted to emotions as well. this new wave of “unpacking” everything is draining people’s life force. you’re siphoning your energy back into this faith and these people that hurt you? why? there is a whole life outside of this. idk man. there are more important things than god.
