Why no through balls in World Cup?

This is an oversimplification, of course. And I see balls go down field past the opposition, but it's clearly on the side. I have seen very few balls that go through the lines of the opposition that give an attacking forward an opportunity to meet the ball and run onto goal. What do you think causes this?

(1) The defenses at the World Cup are that much better than in the Premier League and just don't allow through balls.

(2) Even though the players are better offensively, I am underestimating the connection it takes between two players to connect on a good through ball.

(3) Something else.

(4) I am crazy and there have been a ton of through balls.

Folate

I’m just learning about under and over methylation and have a question regarding folate.

One source that I’ve found says that under methylation is linked with both high folate and high homocysteine, and ubdermethylators should limit folate. Then another source actually recommends folate supplementation for those with excess homocysteine. This seems in conflict. Can anyone make sense of this for me?

Pinworms: how is it supposed to go?

I went to the doctor exactly eight days ago. He said that he thinks I have a rectal yeast infection, but it could be pinworms. I started nystatin cream eight days ago and took my first of two doses of albendazole seven days ago.

Since then, I have improved in that I no longer feel like I am being opened up or torn open at nighttime. Now it's just an itch. And that leads to me being able to sleep, with my worst night being seven or eight days ago at just two hours, and now I can sleep a good five or six.

I have no real confirmation as to which of these two infections it is. It did feel like I was being torn open and was much worse at nighttime, tilting it towards pinworms, but I do still itch generally and have often gone commando in my home office with a cool fan just behind me providing relief. I only once saw something in my stool that looked like a little white worm waving about when I moved the water, but I wonder if just once means it could still have been anything. (I got a video, but I don't think it's entirely clear.) Also, the actual itch goes down to the creases of my underbutt and over to the top of the arc of my cheeks and even up my crack near to the waistband, and that all tells me that it is more likely yeast than pinworms.

Anyways, do you have thoughts, based on the above, about which of these it would be? And assuming that it is pinworms, should I have seen more itch improvement by now?

I am not seeking medical advice or asking you to identify a specific parasite. I am asking more about your personal experiences with yeast infections and pinworms and how it went for you.

I have a doctor-diagnosed rear yeast infection and have been put on some topical nystatin. I am also starting my own regimen of oral Now Candida Support. How much do you think this will help resolve the current ailment (itching, raised skin, now some slight blisters perhaps)?

If you drive a lime green light SUV, like an Element or a CR-V, and may have made a gesture while driving on NW Expressway and trying to get onto 44 Eastbound, please check your rear lights.

I was on the receiving end of said gesture. I saw you the entire time. You seemed to slow down a bit, but just a bit, and to slightly move towards my line, and so I slowed down as well to see if you needed to move over. But when you didn't quickly flip over or put your blinker on, I sped up to pass you and drive at a better speed for that road, at which point I saw your finger extended.

First, great manicure. That's no joke, I got a good view and it was really well done.

Second, as I looked in my rear view, I clearly saw your blinker on. I don't think you thought, "Why is everyone an asshole...oh no, I don't have my blinker on" and then turned it on. I bet you had it on the entire time. And if you did, then of course you would think I'm an asshole. But I saw no concerted action and no signal, I could not take any more time to slow down on the off chance that you wanted over without telling me and I had to get back to regular speed quickly. Seeing all of that, it also made me think that I did not notice other lights as you slightly slowed, which is even more worrisome.

So please, check your rear lights. If you find that they are working, then please consider them and how they might appear in the bright of day and maybe it's just a brightness issue.
