Working on some restorations for a fat model ps3 and hoping to upgrade the memory once I'm finished cleaning it out. Finding the base HDD write speeds really frustrating when trying to play digital games, any recommendations for a reasonably priced SSD or hard drive to swap in?

Hey all, just got my hands on and factory reset a fat model ps3 (currently running 2.76). I haven't installed CFW yet, planning on doing it later tonight, but I saw some old posts about some concerns related to PS2CV. I was hoping to get some PS2 games running on the console, so I'm curious if there's any danger related to a new install of it or if there's a new better alternative. Thanks!
