Since there hasn’t been a post like this here yet, I’ve decided it would be a good moment to do so. How did you all get into collecting the Armies in Plastic figures? What about it drew you in?
I’ll start:
I’ve always been a fan of historical themed plastic army men, I’ve amassed a small collection of war gaming miniatures, Mars figures, and more high quality stuff like publius and chintoys. Armies in Plastic just has so much variety of figures, historical eras, wars and regiments. In my opinion It’s practically made for war gaming and is highly collectible. The lower prices make them really easy to obtain in large quantities and make it easy to set up large battles and re enact them. Thanks Armies in Plastic, I’ve taken an interest in many historical eras such as the boxer rebellion, 19 century colonial wars, etc. that I usually wouldn’t look into in depth. These figures are now what I mainly collect when it comes to historical war miniatures.
I currently keep mine in small plastic bags with a sticky label saying which figures are in it. All are stored in multiple drawers
Most of the sets (that aren’t cavalry) are only half-sets. The collection only intends to keep growing! One can never have too much Armies in Plastic
I’m growing quite fond of these miniatures each day! Here’s my current collection of 18th century AIP figures. Any recommendations or suggestions on which historical eras or themes, or how to grow the collection in general are welcome.
Enjoy!
I decided to redraw the official Lego pirates map. The second photo shows where I would personally place all the classic land sets. Feel free to use for your own projects with credit.
I think it would be the same way the narrow gauge engines were adapted. Make them all a different colour, or just have the essential characters present on screen, like Godred, culdee, and Lord Harry.
If I saw this as a kid I would piss myself and run away screaming. Who at bunny smiles inc thought this would be a fitting design for children’s entertainment?
I know it stands for “Big city engine” (how original). But if we were to have a headcanon for this character, what would the three letters stand for on his tender?
Show my boy some love, he practically keeps the railway running. Not everyone is up and about keeping ballast under the sleepers.
I’m currently make a rws inspired Thomas series on TrainZ 2019 and need an accurate route to film on. If anyone has any tips or sites where I could get that kind of route, that would be much appreciated. Separate routes which I could compile together are also welcome suggestions.
So, the barber said he won’t pardon duck for his intrusion, and he’ll teach him. What could covering his face with shaving cream possibly teach him?
I know about the infamous barrow blitz, but is there any record or official lore of any events that happened on Sodor during this time?
What are your headcanons for this time period? I’m just looking to fill out this period in my series.
I’ve been watching the show for a while and I haven’t seen this Vince Gilligan character show up? Is he even in the show?
