Can't get buffer to seat

I feel like a humongous dumbass right now.

AR9 build, A5 buffer tube, FM products recoil mitigation buffer and spring.

I cannot get the buffer to seat completely into the buffer tube.

I put the buffer spring in, start sliding the buffer into the tube and it gets almost all the way seated except for the last inch or inch and half.

What am I doing wrong?

Funeral Honors Detail (88th RD only)

Dear Soldier,

The 88th Readiness Division (RD) Military Funeral Honors (MFH) Team is recruiting! We are looking for dedicated and professional Army Reserve Soldiers to join our 88th RD MFH Team in the state of Indiana. Specifically, we welcome TPU volunteers with a home of record in Indiana. TPUs do not need to transfer units to participate.

This is a no-fail mission; it is one of the most honorable ways to serve our nation. If you are an E-1 through O-5 and looking to contribute to a highly respected and well-established team, we want to hear from you. This is a paid duty. Soldiers may participate in MFHs missions on any day they are not already in a paid military duty status for their home unit.

Our Team is made up of full-time and part-time Soldiers who operate with the upmost professionalism and precision in this important mission. We pride ourselves on our exceptional training and unwavering commitment to those who served our country. By joining our program, you will become part of an elite team that plays a critical role ensuring our deceased servicemembers receive the respect and honor they deserve. It is a unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of others. The respect and gratitude you will receive from the Families of our fallen Soldiers is immeasurable.

What You Can Expect:

Paid Duty: Soldiers receive one day base pay for each day worked. **One MFH is typically a 2-4 hour duty day.**

Retirement Points: Soldiers earn one retirement point for each day worked.

Travel Reimbursement: POV travel expenses are covered.

Flexible Schedule: Soldiers work only when they are available, allowing you to maintain your current employment or school schedule.

Professional Development: Receive training, mentorship, and support from experienced Military Funeral Honors personnel. **Training days are also paid duty.**

Awards and Recognition: Soldiers are eligible for awards and will be submitted by our staff, based on performance.

Requirements:

Soldiers must have a serviceable ASU or AGSU for MFH missions.

Soldier must display good order and discipline.

No derogatory flags.

Our staff will coordinate and assign MFHs to Soldiers directly. We prepare DA Forms 1380 weekly and submit to your appropriate unit pay POCs for unit pay processing. We will also manage local voucher submissions for mileage reimbursement. All funding for MFHs will come from Code 44 (1B) funding allocated by USARC. We will contact Soldiers promptly to discuss the team, expectations and to schedule training. This is a voluntary duty in addition to any unit obligations; Soldiers are still expected to attend their home unit BA, AT, NCOES, OES, Mobilizations, Deployments, or any other unit activities. Soldiers are directed to report as unavailable for MFHs during these times. We only assign volunteers to MFH missions when they are available to support.

Help us help you

Pretty regularly we have people post in here asking about the right course of action for them. Whether it joining the USAR or the ARNG or AD.

It would help us out if you include details about what you want out of you commitment: Educational benefits, jobs/skills training, maybe cash incentive or healthcare, or maybe to help a family member with citizenship.

If you include some of these basic details in your post, it will go a long way to getting you high quality answers.

Unhinged rants?

Wanna go on an unhinged rant about anything related to the USAR?

Army Reserve Unleashed is for you.

Right now it's basically just be bitching about random Reserve related things but you could help grow it into an awesome community.

Thanks!

Back to LHI we go

I'll keep this brief but QTCs days are numbered.

Received an email yesterday notifying us that the USAR is yet again pivoting back to LHI and abandoning QTC.

I cant post some of the details because for some reason the attachments came out as CUI.

By the end of the month the QTC portal will no longer be accessible.

KAK Industry K-SPEC 9.5oz in-stock anywhere?

Pretty much the title. I decided on the KAK Industry K-SPEC 9.5oz  for my AR9 build based off of the extremely, extremely helpful wordpress article.

But it seems to be OOS everywhere!

Does anyone know if its in stock anywhere?

Barrel consideration ahead of suppressor

Doing research ahead of my first ever 300 BO build.

I intend to suppress it as soon as I can. what should I do as far as muzzle devices???

Do i put a brake on it initially? Is there a muzzle device which functions as a brake to which i can attach a suppressor to later on?

TIA
