My post got removed in r/buffalo for “self promotion” posting here the exact same - Former Strong Hearts employee looking for a job, help?
I saw this was asked before, but not recently, so I wanted to ask to see if there were any recent suggestions. Without entirely doxxing myself, I worked at Strong Hearts when the business closed and was one of the employees laid off.
Does anyone know of anywhere hiring in the downtown/west side/allentown/elmwood village area? I live in Allentown and do not have a car. I am willing to get a car if the job was worth the commute, but I’d prefer not to if possible.
It does not need to be a restaurant and honestly, I’d almost prefer if it was not (unless it is FOH) as I do not eat meat and the vegan aspect was why I loved working there so much. I have a Bachelors of Science Degree in both finance and economics, but have not gotten into the field directly (although I have about 10 years of senior insurance experience under my belt). I left that job to take a much lower stress job at Strong Hearts because I was sick of burning myself out for a company who didn’t care about me. I was devastated when they announced closure. I loved working there.
I realize if you worked with me you know exactly who I am, please do not dox me 🥲 I’m a quick learner, a hard worker, and am open to pretty much anything from a part time minimum wage job to a full time office job with benefits. I am willing to do anything that does not involve driving as the direct job (delivery driving, medical transport, etc). I want to exhaust my options in walking/biking distance before I start applying further away. Thank you! :)
Edit to add i am grateful to be on unemployment, but honestly I’d rather be working as not having a job is mental torture and causing me a lot of anxiety. I made a lot of the stuff at strong hearts and if you can hook me up with a job I might be able to hook you up with your former favorite dish as I prepared a lot of the stuff and still have a lot of recipes memorized ;) I can also provide forehead kisses as well
