Went out and bought a printer yesterday

Hello everyone! So, Wizards made an enemy out of me yesterday after their complete botching (to no surprise) of the Goblin Storm drop. After saving up money for months and opening the website at 8AM just to ***be***, I decided that I was done being an afterthought as a consumer for a game I hold very near to my heart.

I have a couple of questions:

What is the best card stock you guys have found to get as close to the “snap” feel? I know that I’ll never get 100% of the way but using the card stock I got yesterday (110 lb [300 GSM] matte photo stock) and then backing it with a land just makes it way to bulky. ***Especially*** a commander deck.

I’ve read elsewhere that sticker sheets could be a good way to decrease bulk, but don’t know the first thing about buying quality sticker sheets.

Printer: Epson Ecotank - 2803.

tldr; brand new to printing proxies and want y’all’s opinion on the best materials/where to buy them, etc. etc.

Thanks!

A slow descent into madness

I made a post the other day about trying to get into Magic on a budget and my (mostly bracket 4) pod being cool with my proxying whatever.

The reception was so positive with them that they wanted me to make some more (for them as well). I decided to document that process.

I’ve been into magic for about a year now and wanted to get more into deckbuilding which can get waaayy too expensive in this economy. I had a ton of fun making these and am now considering drawing up a whole proxy deck if my friends are cool with it.

Hope you enjoy!
