Neighbour asking to install NBN box on our side of property

Hi all

We have new neighbours who are installing NBN today. It's a brick built townhouse with part of the side of the property immediately on our side I.e. fence and then brick.

They have asked if they can run the cable on our side of the property through our pavers.

Is this common? Or potentially lazy work from the contractor.

Thanks

Update - have denied. They had asked to run 3m of cable through the brick wall/property boundary on our side about 40cm off the ground.

Double booked photographer

Hi all

Just looking for some thoughts/opinions on being double booked by our wedding photographer.

Our wedding is in eight months and we had booked a photographer about two months ago. This week they contacted us and advised they were double booked on our date as they needed to travel for another wedding on the same weekend.

They offered a separate photographer or a refund.

On one hand, we understand these things happen and mistakes are made and there's still plenty of time before the wedding.

On the other hand, we had been booked for two months without this being an issue and it has left us in the lurch to find a new photographer.

We would loathe to give them a bad review, but if you were a prospective client is this not something you would like to know has happened?

Thank you

Thoughts on these Mizuno Alpha II MIJ FG

Brand new and never worn apparently. The figure is in AUD so $250 USD.

Currently have the AG version (not MIJ though) and enjoying them.

How much would you pay?

Friday wedding before long weekend thoughts

Hi all

My partner and I are considering a wedding on a Friday before the March long weekend next year (here in SA).

As an attendee, how would this make you feel? We would have some attendees travelling from interstate (mostly Vic which has a March public holiday too). Accomodation prices seem a bit more expensive, but not over the top. It would also be a great time to visit SA being Mad March here.

It's not a decision motivated by it being cheaper, it's mainly as our preferred venue, photographer etc are available on this date.

Thanks

"Small" Wedding venue suggestions

Hi all

Currently looking for a 'small' wedding reception venue (ideally close to or in the Adelaide CBD) that would be suitable for around 50 people.

We are likely having a registry ceremony so looking for a separate venue for the reception.

Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

Thank you

"Small" wedding venue suggestions Adelaide

Hi all

Currently looking for a 'small' wedding reception venue (ideally close to or in the Adelaide CBD) that would be suitable for around 50 people.

We are likely having a registry ceremony so looking for a separate venue for the reception. Have read through previous threads on here suggesting upstairs private spaces at a nice restaraunt such as Chianti or Orso, however they may be a bit small for us. Others I've found include Fergs Stepney, Aurora and Gallery on Waymouth.

Any advice or tips would be appreciated.

Thank you
