A heatwave is coming… what are we planning on wearing to survive the heat?

I’m terrible with heat at the best of times, now I’m deep into my second trimester, it’s going be 30 degrees in London this weekend/next week and I realise my usual summer go-tos won’t cut it fit.

What are you planning on wearing? Any particular brands you recommend?

Comfort/keeping cool over style for me. And the ability to fit this increasingly growing belly of course 😂

At what point in your pregnancy did you start your antenatal classes (eg NCT, HPHB)

Hello, I’d love to hear other experiences of those who have paid for antenatal classes (eg NCT, HPHB).

I had settled on HPHB but the cohort seems quite broad (for those due mid-July to September) - I’m due mid-September and would be about 26 weeks along when the classes kick off so would one of the last to give birth in the group most likely.

I think I’m probably being anxious over nothing as I’m very nervous about putting myself out there but keen to make friends… But is there any reason why the broad date ranges or starting the classes this early in gestation would be a problem?

Keen to hear from those who have been through the process.

Thank you x

I’m 22 weeks pregnant and struggling with acne.

I’ve had acne since I was an early teen, only eventually managed with retinols which I reduced and eventually stopped after coming off contraception in Sep 26. I then managed my acne with regular use of salicylic acid (Paula’s Choice BHA 2%).

Since realising I was pregnant in Jan 26 I stopped using the SA to be safe and started using an Azelaic acid which hasn’t worked for me.

After doing some research on safety I started reintroducing the Paula’s Choice 1-2x per week a few weeks ago to try to manage breakouts but the frequency isn’t working enough to clear the acne and from what I’ve seen it’s best to use this product infrequently.

Is anyone in a similar boat? What has worked for you?

I know there are more important things to worry about but as this is something I struggled with for so long I’m getting quite triggered by my skin being this bad again.
