Cluster Feeding

Hello!

So, my baby girl is now 9 days old, and I think from what I've researched she's now cluster feeding...

It's been relentless today:

03:55 - boob - 11 mins followed by 40ml breast milk in bottle (expressed milk given by husband - just to give me a break!)

07:40 - boob - 11 mins

08:12 - boob - 15 mins

08:39 - boob - 7 mins

12:11 - boob - 15 mins

12:39 - boob - 23 mins

14:02 - boob - 5 mins

15:09 - boob - 15 mins

16:44 - boob - 7 mins

17:09 - boob - 13 mins

19:35 - boob - 12 mins

20:00 - boob - 7 mins

20:49 - boob - 12 mins

21:26 - boob - 7 mins

She's actively swallowing (I can hear her!) - and she's definitely giving the cues of being hungry so I'm definitely feeding on demand.

I think I'm just concerned that she's having too much? Or if her feeding this frequently is even a problem?

Obviously I'm happy to do whatever because she's obviously hungry if she's giving the cues - it's tiring me out but it is what it is!

Just a concerned mummy trying her best.

DMT while breastfeeding

Afternoon all!

I'm due to have my baby in around 30 days via elective c section - my MS nurse is hounding me to pick a new MS DMT, however I genuinely don't know what to do.

I'm wanting to breastfeed and from what I've read, I can only really use injectables and from my experience on Copaxone... This is not happening again.

For reference, when on Copaxone, my injection sites came up in huge painful welts, and hurt for days after and I ran out of places to inject.

I just wondered what other DMTs people had been on while breastfeeding and whether it affected baby/babies health?

Painful fetal movements

So, I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow, and the baby is breech.

I've been used to feeling her kick me down below (the lightening crotch has been around for a few weeks now) but this has been something else...

I was sat on the sofa, upright and laptop on my legs doing some work, and I nearly shot up and thrown my laptop across the room because she's just kicked me so hard I thought she was coming out...

Has anyone ever experienced this before?? Like, she's obviously getting bigger because this HURT... No pain after she'd finished getting comfortable, no bleeding, leaking etc, but I'm not sure if this is ok for her movements to hurt?

The pain was predominantly felt in my perineum and lower belly and immediately eased off when I lay down and I can still feel her moving now but no pain at all.

Headaches

Hello!

32 weeks tomorrow and I've had a headache for the past 20 hours ish - it's been niggling right in my temple.

My mum's a nurse, so she's done my blood pressure (it was perfect), dipped my wee (no protein and everything else was perfect).

Pre Eclampsia seems like a no because my blood pressure and wee was absolutely fine.

But - has anyone else had headaches and it's turned out to be something else?

Edit: I drink A LOT of water, so I know I'm not dehydrated!

31+3 pregnant, painful kicks?

Hello all!

So I'm 31+3 pregnant and last night I had some painful kicks from my baby, has anyone else experienced this?

It was low down - she's been feet down since 22 weeks so she's gotten very comfortable kicking my cervix and bum area!

But, I've not had painful movements before so I'm just a bit worried, not sure if this is normal or something that should be a cause for concern...

She's kicking away this morning and being her usual self and they're not painful now - just worried in case they get painful again...

NSFW::: Mucus plus loss - is this ok?

So for context I'm 30 + 2 and I *think* I keep losing pieces of my mucus plug...

It's sticky and looks like snot and slightly yellow ish in colour, so only assuming?

No other symptoms/pain/bleeding etc and the mucus looks clear (albeit yellow ish in colour).

I mentioned it to my consultant and midwife and they said as long as it's not a massive amount in one go it's ok?

Just concerned because I seem to lose pieces of it every couple of days... I know it can regenerate but, is this really ok?

The first photo just looks like discharge to me, but every so often I lose a small ball of it and it's much thicker so I'm just not sure! (Like the second photo).

30 weeks and diarrhea - bad?

Hello!

30 weeks pregnant (on Friday), and I've started getting random bouts of diarrhea.

I've had IBS for the longest and I'm pretty sure I have an intolerance to *something* but never been able to find out what.

I had a Google - and it says it could be a sign of labour? I feel ok, general achy back but that's been there for a good 4/5 weeks now...

No wait gain at 30 weeks?

I saw my midwife today, she weighed me - I've not put on a single pound since my initial meeting with her back when I was 9 weeks and I'm now 30 weeks.

I keep hearing women should put on X amount of lbs when pregnant but my midwife wasn't concerned at all!

I am though!

My BMI was 40 initially, and still is now, I believe I weigh 109kg from what I saw from her scales so I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the same?

Baby is growing well and all of my growth scans have been good so far so not sure if it's just my anxiety telling me to worry...!!

28 weeks pregnant (lightening crotch?)

Hello all! Currently 28 weeks pregnant, will be 29 weeks on Friday!

I'm getting bouts of pains around the entrance of my vagina (cervix too), guessing just lightening crotch? Just feels sharp and achy!

I've also been getting lower back pain (pretty mild), but Google keeps saying it could be early labour or cervical insufficiency?

Seems a bit much but just worried me!

So, I went for a private scan on Monday (mainly because my dad would have loved to attend one and because he works so much & my NHS scans don't match up with his availability I booked a private scan for when he was off!).

Baby is head up (near my ribs) and legs down...

I'm being greeted with kicks to what feels like my cervix and they're so uncomfortable & it actually stings...

Normal? I'm guessing this is lightning crotch?

I've had similar feelings but it's been more of an achy sting rather than this - which feels like I'm being stung by a bee!

I'm 25 weeks (26 weeks on Friday).

It's been a bit of a "day" today.

It started after I had a coffee - really bad pains in my lower abdomen all the way across. Sharp and stabby.

Felt like I needed to use the loo, nothing happened...

Walked around a bit and it eased off, then went back to the loo and had a poop.

After about 10 minutes it completely went away and now I feel bloated everywhere and my upper abdomen feels like it's bloated really bad. Spent about 15 mins on my ball and then gave up.

I feel really deflated today.

Baby girls been kicking like crazy and I feel like I can't enjoy it because I'm worried about random pains and feeling like my upper abdomen is being slowly squashed - which I've heard is normal but I have health anxiety so I'm riddled with "what if" constantly.
