to all the women who have given birth in CS, which hospital do you recommend? I’m trying my hardest to avoid an unnecessary c-section for many reasons and even though my OBGYN is with St. Joseph’s (LOVE Jamie South), they have a way higher c-section rate compared to BSW.
i’ve read enough of the statistics and want to hear from real women who have given birth between these two hospitals before I make any decisions!!
TLDR: my SO’s family is generationally wealthy. I grew up sleeping on a mattress on the floor with my mom and brother. Every time I visit my in laws and they divulge the details of their “babymoon” in tahiti, the complaints about the gourmet organic chef, the business class plane tickets they take monthly… I can’t help but feel so resentful. I’ve worked to hard and gotten myself into a pretty good position as a doctor, but it feels like nothing when every other person in their family is a doctor from an Ivy League. It makes me want to pull back from them because I have nothing to add to these conversations except jealousy and self-pity and I don’t want to be that shitty person to myself or my SO.
any advice on making peace with this would be much appreciated!!
