It has come to my attention that all subs regarding hoi4, for example, have experienced a comical/relaxed offshoot from the original sub: Nppfunny, hoi4memes, etc. And, I have researched why this has happened.

For tno's nppfunny, the cause was a heavily restricted server that prohibited most ironic or indirectly related posts (e.g. 1984).

Regarding hoi4memes, the reason was due to the official hoi4 sub limiting posts with rule 5, memes, and only allowed strictly related topics.

And, for okbuddygunther, what occurred has been peculiar to say the least. First, the official tfr sub had, obviously, strict rules too—irl posting was severely limited unless it was a "good joke" and most shitposting that went beyond the server's grasp would be terminated. This sub, however, was created long before the incident, yet it was due to it that it blew up; what I'm talking about is of course, the intervention from my good buddy Nixon.

So, to finalize, I would want to give a warning to all hoi4 related subs. Do not be stupid and jorjor well because this is reddit after all, your rules do not matter when there is popular support. If you do fall down the 1984 pipeline, you WILL experience a total collapse of attention and popularity in favor of splinter servers.

Since the last volume released, and more specifically the time between its release and the announcement of volume 3, the most I saw was how much the navy needed a rework. So I've held this doubt for a long time now, why was the demand so high? I felt that the navy was just another mechanic of the game, not a future independent system in and of itself like the land army could have been.
