I know this question has been asked, but I cannot find the answer anywhere, so I want to ask again.
I install AT4K Launcher on Fire TV Stick 4K Max via sideloading. Since Fire TV does not have Google services, AT4K disables Premium payment. How can I pay for Premium features to use on my Fire TV?
I've been using Fire TV Stick 4K Max for 3 years now, and so far it is an excellent device with smooth working and brilliant video and audio quality. The downsides of it are not having internal volume control, which is a big inconvenience when using monitor or non-CEC TV, limited app choices (no Stremio on Amazon Appstore), and the possibility of no sideloading apps when future Fire TV devices will use VegaOS, according to Amazon's brief announcement.
I intend to buy an Android TV stick, not TV box, with 4K support, as I usually travel and I want to pack a lightweight TV stick along with my stuff. I'm wondering whether any Android TV 4K stick can have as a powerful performance as Fire TV Stick 4K Max. I see there are Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (1st and 2nd gen), Mecool MEgo1 4K, and recently, Onn 4K streaming stick in 2026. Has anyone tried one of those and can it be compared to FTV stick 4K Max in term of performance and smoothness?
