Edible Plants being Wasted

Man, I was really bummed out yesterday, me and my boyfriend looked around at the plants at Walmart (across from GSR) and there is so much produce back there, just dying and being uncared for. A decent amount of those plants are also growing fruits/veggies. And to think about all of the people out there without food. For the smaller plants, it is about $5 per plant but most of them are dying. I wonder how many stores across all of Reno/Sparks sell plants that grow food, that never get bought. Why can't we take these plants and find somewhere to create a community garden? That produces edible fruits/veggies for those who may need something to eat. So many tomatoes and peppers and berries there. Squash, melons and things like thyme and cilantro. There has got to be a way for us to take these plants and do something with them before they end up in the dumpster.

Hello everyone! I am a 22 year old female looking for other females (you don't need to necessarily be my age, I love making all sorts of friends!) to go hiking with! I was never taught how to drive, and have been DYING to get out of town for some peaceful adventuring. If anyone is interested in connecting, please don't hesitate to comment :) god bless!

Looking for entry-level environmental or sustainability jobs around Sparks/Reno

I was wondering if anyone here has gotten a job that involves protecting land/wildlife, or something similar to that without any college education. Please let me know! I would love very much to be able to work a job that benefits others and the world we live in.

22F, I could really use some female friends

I know there's been a few similar posts recently, but I moved here 2 years ago to be with my boyfriend and the entirety of my time here, I have not made a single friend. It feels extremely isolating to have him be the only person I socially interact with, especially when things aren't going great between us. I really miss feeling feminine and honestly just feeling like myself. I enjoy the following hobbies/activities: painting, reading and writing, hiking, spending most of the day outside, learning about new things, trying out new things, and I recently have taken up learning German. I play video games (ps5) and board/card games. Not really into drinking or shopping, but I still like going out on the town. Open to new experiences!
