Help needed. I have a Trek Longtail Fetch 2 and the phone holder keeps flopping about.
I have adjusted and tightened it. I have placed a thick elastic band between the mounting and the handlebar for more friction, but it still flops about after going over a few bumps on the bikepath. Do any of you experience this as well, and if so, have you any tips on a permanent solution?
I turn 5 today. It has been a fun, shocking, informative, saddening, inspirational, hilarious, educational, depressing, and eye-opening ride.
Never thought I would ever use the words "beautiful" and "satisfying" to describe an oil change, but here we are. (Not OC)
Summer bridge cool down.
"During hot summer days, Amsterdam municipal workers spray water on movable bridges to prevent the metal structures from expanding and jamming shut. This cooling process is triggered when temperatures reach 22–23°C and becomes critical above 25°C, as the heat causes steel and asphalt to expand beyond the narrow 8–10 millimeter clearance designed into the bridges.
The water is pumped from the canals below via fire hydrants and is used on specific routes, including the Hortusbrug and Berlagebrug on the East Route, and the Zeilstraatbrug, Kinkerbrug, and Wiegbrug on the West Route. While this practice ensures that both road/tram traffic and shipping vessels can continue to operate smoothly, it results in wet road surfaces, requiring cyclists and pedestrians to exercise extra caution."
Edit:
I've been sitting here for about 40 minutes having a late lunch and I've witnessed 2 people fall off their bikes. They tried navigating the bend in the fietsen lane at too high a speed and went sliding.
For the uninitiated: Reuploading this beautiful piece of insanity. Not OC, and I don't condone this kind of riding on public roads, but I have to appreciate his skill especially pn a cruiser.
These are Dholes, wild dogs that whistle they are INTERESTING AS FUCK!
Where's a good place in Amsterdam to buy a good, second-hand road fiets? I'll skip the crackies... so maybe Marktplaats (from non-crackie sellers)? I don't need something too fancy, but I'd like to have at least 15 gears and it ought to inspire me to undertake longer rides whilst wearing lycra.
