Kill Mercenary ambition and aftermath?

So im fairly new to the game. Just won the holy war for the south, and after a few weeks and some contracts my relationships went back to neutral with the northern towns and nobility. My brothers got an ambition to kill another mercenary band, so I did, and now apparently the entire north views me as threatening and hostile again and is actively sending out 20+ man armies to hunt me down. Was this mercenary band a bunch of noblility's second cousins??? I never realized the game cared so much about mercenaries....

Is this a standard thing if you fulfill this ambition? It's my first time doing it and I'm amazed the entire north went ballistic over a random 7 man mercenary team.

Rural practioneers question

Hello my fellow practioneers,

I had a question for the rural folks, or anyone who has transitioned from a large metro to a rural practice. I am a co-owner of my small firm and thankfully have great flexibility because of it, meaning I can be anywhere in my state. Currently I am in the largest metro of my state, but my family is looking to start purchasing some land in the rural areas to begin our actual goal of our family ranch (wife and I both grew up in ag, and its my long term exit plan for leaving the legal practice).

While my current practice is pretty niche, the areas were looking at in the stage has very very few attorneys. Im already in talks with the smaller state university to do some ad junction classes out that way, but was curious what others found success with in moving to rural areas, if any. I've known some who made a good living doing dui and family law matters, but I was looking to hear from some others on their experience, any regrets and lessons learned, and other wisdom yall could share.

Thanks in advance for your time!
