Best VIP experience for a weekend in Knoxville?

My private jet needs some maintenance work, so unfortunately we had to land in Knoxville. Since I'm stuck here for a couple of days, I figured I might as well have a look around.

I don't really like hanging out with the poors, rednecks, or country people, so I'm looking for something a little more exclusive. Is there anywhere that offers five-star or higher concierge-level service?

I'd also be interested in a private chef who could come to us and cook. I still haven't found an ideal place to stay, either. The hotels I've looked at seem a little ordinary.

Does anyone know if you can reserve the Sunsphere for a private retreat? I'm open to other suggestions as long as they're sufficiently exclusive.

Sadly, Knoxville is no longer home to the world's worst place for drivers to merge.

China has officially taken the lead. Knoxville must immediately begin work on widening I-40 to 50 lanes before merging them back into 2 outside of town.

Best diarrhea parasite in Knoxville?

I'm looking for a restaurant that produces a consistently high-quality diarrhea parasite, ideally one that's capable of producing a 7-10 pound weight loss over the course of a week or two. Bonus points if it's locally owned. Before anyone suggests Ozempic, I'd rather support a small business.

Looking for information on volunteering my property for additional AI camera coverage

I've been following the recent discussions about AI cameras and license plate readers around Knoxville and Knox County, and honestly I'm a little concerned that all the negativity could discourage companies from expanding much needed coverage.

I already have Ring cameras, Blink cameras, and a dashcam, but they're all operating independently. It seems like we're missing an opportunity to create a more comprehensive community awareness network.

I know Ring has Community Requests and other features that allow homeowners to help law enforcement when needed. Are there similar programs for Axon, Flock, Blink, Nest, Tesla, or any other companies?

Ideally I'd like to volunteer my property for additional AI-enabled cameras so there are fewer blind spots in my neighborhood. If several companies could monitor the same area simultaneously, it seems like we'd have much more reliable coverage and better analytics.

My biggest concern is that there are still places on my street where someone could briefly exist without being identified, categorized, and analyzed by at least one AI system.

I'd even be willing to host additional cameras if they need a utility pole or somewhere to mount them. If every homeowner volunteered just one or two cameras, I feel like we could finally eliminate most of the remaining surveillance gaps.

Has anyone successfully contacted one of these companies about participating in something like this? I don't really care which company installs the cameras. I just think overlapping AI coverage from multiple vendors would make everyone feel safer.

Knoxville's Peaceful Suburb Is A Tennessee Gem With Lake Fun, Scenic Trails, And A Variety Of Shops

Can a real news story actually be a shitpost? LOL.

"While Americans are flocking to Knox County and its Great Smoky Mountains views, parks, and exciting cities, Farragut has remained a quiet, peaceful suburb. Niche reviewers compliment the town's classic Southern charm, clean public spaces, and community-oriented feel. This is also described as a safe place, but what really makes it a haven for those looking to relax and unwind is its lake access and impressive trail network."

Hilltop Ridge Data Ventures Announces Transformational Mixed-Use Innovation Campus for Sharp's Ridge

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hilltop Ridge Data Ventures Announces Transformational Mixed-Use Innovation Campus for Sharp's Ridge

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Hilltop Ridge Data Ventures is pleased to announce plans for The Overlook at Sharp's Ridge, a landmark mixed-use development that will redefine luxury living while positioning Knoxville as a national leader in artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Perched atop Sharp's Ridge with panoramic views of downtown Knoxville and the Great Smoky Mountains, The Overlook at Sharp's Ridge combines cutting-edge AI computing with premium residential living in one thoughtfully integrated campus.

"Our vision is simple," said Chad Whitmore, President and CEO of Hilltop Ridge Data Ventures. "Residents won't simply live near innovation. They'll live directly above it."

The project includes a 2.4-gigawatt AI data center integrated directly into Sharp's Ridge, supporting 187 luxury residences constructed above the facility. Apartment homes will feature floor-to-ceiling views of downtown Knoxville and rents beginning in the upper $3,000s.

Residents will enjoy a full suite of resort-inspired amenities including a rooftop infinity pool, pickleball courts, coworking lounges, a pet spa, climate-controlled storage, and three premium express car washes.

The development will also feature a comprehensive Flock Safety ecosystem with intelligent cameras located at every vehicle entrance, pedestrian entrance, elevator, hallway, mailbox, apartment door, and amenity space to provide what the company describes as "a seamless community awareness experience."

Each residence will include an AI-powered smart doorbell capable of proactively summarizing visitor activity before residents have time to ask what happened.

One of the community's signature amenities will be the Innovation Wellness Spa, where waste heat generated by the adjacent AI computing infrastructure, combined with precision-engineered server vibrations, provides residents with a complimentary thermal deep-tissue massage experience unlike anything else available in East Tennessee.

According to project engineers, integrating residential housing directly above advanced computing infrastructure maximizes land efficiency while allowing residents to experience the future of technology from the comfort of home.

"Knoxville has a growing need for both AI infrastructure and upscale housing," Whitmore said. "This project solves both challenges with one innovative solution while taking full advantage of Sharp's Ridge's spectacular views."

Construction is expected to begin following permitting and community engagement.

Weekly Knoxville AI generated image posts?

Everyone was so triggered by the AI artwork from the welcome post I thought maybe I could make it a weekly posting. Maybe take ideas from comments and generate one of the suggestions weekly? Or perhaps have a weekly thread where we all post comical Knoxville inspired graphics? Thoughts?

Welcome to r/KnoxvilleCircleJerk (Please Read First)

Hi everyone! I just moved to Knoxville.

I immediately overpaid for a house, bought a Tesla Cybertruck, disabled the turn signals, and I'm meeting my new sunglasses gang in Market Square after I ask where to find the best pizza.

P.S. My friends and I are looking for a second downtown apartment just for weekend parties. Is $500/month a realistic budget, or should we just buy another house?

JUST KIDDING!

Welcome to r/KnoxvilleCircleJerk, Knoxville's home for satire, parody, memes, and good-natured humor about life in and around East Tennessee.

Whether you're making fun of Pellissippi traffic, the Sunsphere, Turkey Creek, Weigel's, UT football, apartment prices, "We're full!" posts, or the latest local Reddit obsession, the goal is the same: laugh at Knoxville because we know Knoxville.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

• Humor comes first.
• Keep Knoxville at the center of the joke.
• Poke fun at ideas, places, and local culture, not fellow Redditors.
• Don't brigade or harass other communities or users.
• Follow Reddit's Content Policy.

Post Flair

We've added post flair to help organize the fun. Use it if it fits, but don't overthink it.

Current flairs include:

• Meme
• Shitpost
• Local News
• Traffic
• Food
• Politics
• Lost in the Sunsphere

If your masterpiece doesn't fit anywhere else, Lost in the Sunsphere is always an acceptable choice.

Our Moderation Philosophy

This community is intentionally lightly moderated. We'd rather remove the occasional bad post than make everyone jump through hoops just to participate.

If you're here in good faith and trying to make Knoxville laugh, you're probably doing it right.

Help Build the Community

This subreddit is just getting started, and every community develops its own personality over time.

Post your own satire. Comment on other people's jokes. Build on recurring Knoxville lore. Create new inside jokes. If something makes the community laugh, you've helped shape what this place becomes.

If you have an idea for a recurring joke, a new flair, or another ridiculous Knoxville tradition worth celebrating, jump in.

We're glad you're here.

Transmission Not in Park

Could you think of a dumber way to say "your door is ajar while in gear". You would think someone would have thought of a better way to make this error. Don't get me started on the horn beeping when when the key is removed while the engine is running.
